I came over here from Auburn Eagle. I was a mod there and contributed to recruiting until I was banned for suggesting publicly that moderators be a little more lenient.
I liked the Auburn fans here because we were coming off the Tuberville era and building something weird with Chizik. It culminated in the 2010 championship season, As The Plains Burn, and the rant’s persecution of anything Auburn related.
This board was special because after a year or more of not being able to discuss anything Auburn related we finally had a space to go deep. It’s why we are one of the only team boards that do not allow outsiders. But the original group of natives here were tight knit and kept things civil despite our differences because the previous few years in the rant sucked arse.
Along the way we’ve lost that camaraderie. And with that this board has become as generic and soulless as anywhere else. In the last year it’s become truly toxic as politics and current events entered every thread. The recruiting thread is one of the many victims as it tends to be consistently active.
In summary, this board just isn’t my place anymore. Old posters have wandered away and new posters have changed the culture here. I’m just not a good fit for it.

Auburn seems to be backing off of ‘22 4* QB MJ Morris. Too early to know why but KN seems to suggest they’re happy with other QBs they’ve targeted there. Including 4* QB Ty Simpson

ETA: I do miss being able to contribute more to the board in any way, whether I’m being a shithead or engaging in actual football discussion.

I do want to give thanks to the ones that have kept the recruiting thread running in my short time here and before when I lurked. I can imagine the time it takes to keep us all in the loop.

His updates are completely useless. He also writes on a 10th grade level. I’m sure he doesn’t care but it’s awful to read

I just wanted to say thank you for this and prior threads.
In a pretty crappy time, it has been one of the few things I enjoy and look forward to each week.
Hopefully a break will give you time to recharge. And by then maybe some of the vitriol will have subsided.
