Brown isnt a passer and it wont get better. However, his running will change the looks and we should have open guys. Our WR are good.

I think we will be ok at QB but outside of the duel threat just pure passing we are still behind the elite QBs.

I’m sure there is no game plan to attack a part of the defense it’s just random plays being called. I’m not watching so can’t see what’s actually happening. Seems it’s been physical. So that’s refreshing.

Durkin isn’t holding much back they are throwing everything at the offense.

This I’ve loved seeing. He has been blitzing from everywhere. Switching coverages at snap. It’s been a great look for our O.

And yea, when Brown is able to run and we are calling stuff thabuses his legs more, it completely changes the O.

Big 55 yard field goal by McPherson. Plenty of room.

Glad it seems (from just what I can gather here) we have a decent backup.

Looked like a good crowd based on the one clip I saw.

Defense is still pretty good.

Offense meh. But still have a lot of time and will settle on some positions coming out of spring.

Let’s get everyone on the field first. Too many 1’s and 2’s injured today.

I want to hear what the coach’s felt after watching the film breakdowns. Spring always looks and sounds bad. Anyone was has played the game, knows spring is bad. Lot to clean up.

Culture is being left to the players. Leaders emerged today.

Not taking too much from a spring game, but the C's struggling to snap the ball as much as they did is kind of concerning.

Lot of work to do after the massive exodus.

The talent exists, but restrictions on “do not touch the QB”had an impact. Always does. Brown’s scrambles were cut short today.

There is hope in 2’s and 3’s at QB.

We don’t have the QB’s Freeze had on field.

Offense definitely still looked like they are installing a new offense. Some things I definitely liked and clearly things to work on. Receivers did a good job coming back and attacking balls, lots of good hand catching, and blocking. Not a lot of non-hustle penalties which was good to see.

Yep, he had at least 2 td’s cut short and another run that would have easily been 30+ called for almost nothing.

So we have a QB who won’t sit in the pocket for 5 minutes?

Yea I mean if you watch the game they had against UF last year, he had no problem just taking off. I think when he is in a real game mode, he will roll out more and take off quicker.

So we won’t watch team after team just all out blitz against us every game, because they have zero worry about the QB taking off? Noice

Off day maybe?

You can call it an off day. Golesh said Brown wasn’t seeing the middle of the field well today.

But at the SEC level you can’t have an off day with a 12 game schedule. Maybe a poor throw each game but 1-2 bad throws can get you beat.

I’m like everyone else I haven’t seen any of the game so no reference but just hearing some of the reports and listening to in the booth. Defense is way ahead of the offense which is to be expected. Seems if Brown were to go down with an injury or banged up for a couple games we won’t just be completely crippled which was a worry. I’m not sure if Tia is better then expected or Spencer is almost starter level as an early enrollee true freshman.

Golesh stated Durkin went mostly base I’m assuming that was formationally because seemed like some blitz’s were in there but like I said I haven’t seen the game. If it was completely base, Yikes!

Offense had some moments. But regardless of what the scoreboard had 5 INTs with multiple sacks the defense definitely won the day. Big Dallas Walker had 2 sacks and the 3 NT’s gave our “best” OL Cole Best hell all day. Good and bad sign there. I wouldn’t expect Walker to have more than 1 sack the entire season.

OL as always will determine the season. Right now I would say 7-5 if we stay healthy. But we can improve in the summer and fall, and should.
