It’s really not great for us that LSU just won a championship.

Im sure we all know that. I mean, why couldnt Gus make a offense like LSU's. Isnt he a offensive genius?

I'm really curious to see LSU next year on offense. I think Burrow was a generational talent like Cam Newton was for us. In typical fan fashion, LSU fans are overstating the impact that coaching had on their team this year. It had a lot more to do with their QB than OC. IMO.

The difference between good and great is very thin.... attention to detail separates the two when inches matter! Our staff isn’t crossing its Ts and dotting I’s...

LSU 2019 and Auburn 2010 aren't really comparable. We had Cam. If I am correct, not another single offensive player from that team is in the NFL right now.

LSU was the perfect storm this year. They installed an offense to complement all the weapons they had. 3 NFL receivers, an NFL TE, an NFL RB. Burrow is great, but they had all the same pieces last year and were so-so.

Y’all laugh but it goes to show what a new coach can do. Joe Brady joined LSU’s staff in 2019 after working for the Saints in 2017 & 2018 and brought an NFL passing scheme, which completely transformed LSU’s offense, and unearthed Burrow’s talents and got him a Heisman and national championship.

2018 LSU offense: SEC ranked 9th overall
2019 LSU offense: SEC ranked 1st overall

Joe Brady made the difference this year.

LSU passing offense 2018: 2,970 total yards
LSU passing offense 2019: 6,024 yards

An incredible 3,000 yard difference in one year.

The next closest was Alabama with 4,449 yards. A coach can make a huge difference.

I just hope we don’t get rid of Gus so we don’t become the next Tennessee.... you know, that team with Pruitt that won 8 games this year, one less than Gus.

LSU winning is bad for AU so I'm not sure how any of us can be glad to see it. Orgeron has now officially planted himself as the 2nd best coach and leader of the clear cut 2nd best team/program in the SEC. Previously, Florida, UGA, us, and LSU were all fighting for that spot behind Bama and now AU is relegated to fighting for 3rd place. Kirby kicks our arse all the time, Gus can't beat Mullen so we're basically staring at 5th "best" in our conference right in the face currently.

Pointing out things that don't exist, is a gift of yours, and I think we are all very jealous of that.

Is this you taking back what Tiguar took from you making this thread.

But if you look at the stats between last year and this year w/ Burrow, you see a phenomenal difference in production after adding Brady to the offensive coaches.

I think it was a combo of a really great QB and an influence of a real change in offensive design(as they stated it was a total change in scheme when Brady got here)

Also, sometimes a team just catches magic in one year. Look at Gus in 2013(until the last 13 seconds of NC game) or 2010 w/ Cam.

And would we have ever entertained hiring Orgeron as our HC?
Heck no, but he learned to bring in better coaches to run his offense. He always had a good D, which is his experience.

Wrong. He just gained some experience and confidence. Cam was not a very good passer early in the year. He almost lost the Clemson game because of it. Cam made vast strides in one season.

We will find out next year. I'm not sure how anyone could have watched Burrow and his presence in the pocket this year with the way he extended plays and call that coaching. I'm not saying Brady didn't help change the scheme and culture, but it's easier to do with a QB of that caliber and WRs with that talent.
