I was afraid this would happen if JJ was a flop.

I remember lurking that thread. And yes, while you were actually thinking far more objectivel than the rest of us, you only politely asked if we should get a transfer QB. You didn't say "We need a transfer dammit! My nipples don't feel right and I can feel something wrong is going to happen!" But by all means, please beat that chest.

Edit) And I tried downvoting your original OP but evidently I downvoted it last January haha.

Just don't expect a lot from Auburn QBs because whenever we do they completely shite the bed. Kodi Burns, Kiehl Frazier and now JJ were all supposed to be world beaters.

So you are the negabarner who jinxed this season.

I still can not believe the offense was the problem.

For folks saying we need a dual threat, I say we just needed a marginal QB. Wide open receivers when folks sell out to stop run.

Then we have that. Sean White is at least marginal.

Pretty much the only exception and even then, no one was expecting him to be a Heisman winner like everyone was saying about JJ and Burns.

You're very right. I honestly cringed at the idea of him sucking so I just didn't want to give it any thought. Talked to a buddy in school in SC last night and it's just the truth. The QB is the most important position on the football field. You live & die with them. We died.

I'd like to repost what I stated in that thread...

quote:

I think Shawn White is a good back up, but we may look to recruit another elite QB to backup white once the JJ days are over. JJ will have a lot of pressure on him going into the season, and he knows it. It's different than the Arkansas game where he was probably playing loose because he knew it was only one half. How does he handle this pressure? As fans, it's a good thing we're considering all possibilities.
