I like what I'm seeing from President Leath

I think he is making some tough decisions and bringing Auburn into a new era of excellence. Breaking some of the cronyism that was holding us back. Bravo. War Damn.

He seems like he is doing what he feels is best and not caving to pressure from people around him. You have to respect that.

I don't think he handled the Bruce stuff before the season very well specifically the emails he sent out. I do like this AD hire & it seems clear right now that Leath is steering the ship. Still too early to know if that's going to be a good or bad thing but I am optimistic

Some people sent rude messages to Leath and were shocked and mortified when they got rude replies from him in return. I think they expected the typical platitudes and genuflecting.

The emails were typically aggressive but not ridiculous. I didn't see any that were like "frick you a-hole."
It was the usual "we demand you act in the best interests of Auburn" stuff.
And Leath not only got really touchy about it, he started telling fans stuff about Bruce that wasn't public knowledge, like "he won't even talk to me"
On one hand not getting a "Thanks for loving Auburn, Sincerely, Jay" email back is probably good, but Leath did not handle being accountable to AU people particularly well in that first go around, IMO.

I hate to be one of those "I have inside information but am not telling" douchebags, but I have some inside info about what Leath is currently negotiating for Auburn academics, and it's huge. Should really boost Auburn's competitiveness in a few particular departments that are already competitive. Think $$$$$.
