I predicted we would hire Lashlee, Steele, or Muschamp or a similar type coach.

But what did we do????

We went and hired a guy with:
1. SEC head coaching experience.
2. Proven track record of developing QB’s.
3. Had knowledge of use of the NIL and paying players BEFORE the NCAA ever thought of it.
4. Runs an exciting brand of offense.
5. Recruits with a passion.

Home.

Freakin.

Run.

Hire.

Multiple sources say Freeze has agreed to relinquish control of his social media accounts when he becomes the Auburn coach. The background check on Freeze was extensive, and the school hired a P.R. consultant to handle the expected blowback in bringing him aboard. They are jumping through a lot of hoops for Freeze.

Good luck with that. AU Twitter is a complete shite right now. You’re not gonna polish this turd not matter how you try to spin it.

To be fair…most SEC coaches had this knowledge.

Geez I just read through some of it. I almost feel bad now. Poor guy, and how in the hell is this what our administration thought was a good idea? We are so fricked for so long.

That doesn’t include all the tweets, emails and phone calls to the President and the AD. AU is not going to Pr firm their way out of this shite.

Back in the 80's there were handshakes going on and summer jobs that you didn't show up to...everywhere, even at AU. It was well known. bamar just did it better and turned us in all the time...

Let's be honest. This is not a hire to knock our socks off. This is basically Gus 2.0. I am ok with it because it is a better hire than the one we just paid 15 million dollars to go away.
