Would he have beaten out Bo Nix? Just curious what people think here.

I don’t think so.

Guys like CamBo who have the physical measurables, arm strength, speed, athletic ability, intelligence, and have been coached from birth to be a QB are probably able to beat out almost anyone not named Tua, Fromm, or Lawrence.

We have another player named Bo in the backfield with his THE Bo’s nephew on the team. It is destiny.

No.

But the battle would have raged on until game 3.

Bo wins in the end.

Kelly who?

Nawh, he'd likely had to sit the bench again before coming a generational NFL quarterback... trouncing Trevor Lawrence in the Superbowl Bo should have been playing in.

( Hypothetically )

I don't know this for a fact but I'm pretty sure he didn't come to AU because he was not guaranteed a starting spot.

Which is why he did NOT choose Auburn. Could not afford to risk losing out to an underclassman again.

Looks like the CamBo train is leaving the station, baby.

No, he would have lost to a true freshman two years in a row.

We don’t know, it’s obvious Bo has way more upside and it’s not close. He is faster, a more live arm and more athletic

Kellys knowledge of the spread/read option along with his poise might have been enough to get the nod. I think Gus would’ve chosen him because he knew what he had and recruited him hard for a reason. I do understand Bo made a big jump in fall camp but you cannot substitute years of game experience.

With everything around him, skill players, top 10 defense, SR OL, the window is there where it may make sense to bring in someone who can be a game manager.

I think he would have had a very good chance at being the one year starter.
