It was thrown 20 yards over his head. Someone needs to ask Freeze who is the coach who cant get them to throw or run the right route? And who is the person who chose them to play?

Is it too much to ask a person to complete a simple swing route when they are 20 yards in the clear. Have a running back not pass a blitzing safety in the backfield.....and go on a route as if the pass is gonna be thrown when his QB lays flat on his back. Or to ask a QB not to throw a pooch pass when its obvious the RB is going to have his shoulder dislocated.

Bollywood Hooks is an accurate nickname dancing around letting balls bounce off his chest like some B movie.

Geriner needs to start, heck that long pass he missed the receiver by a few yards. Go watch the play, safety closing, DB in front of him, Geriner throws it to the sideline so he can turn around and its there, instead the frickin receiver turns into double coverage and the ball goes sailing behind him.

Freeze is cashing the check he needs to take accountability and coach the talent we do have not muse about future recruiting classes cause given this shat show they certainly wont come.

The model is what Mike Norvell is doing at FSU.

Rational people will fully agree but Norvell is not playing Bama, Uga, LSU and TAMU every year who all recruited at a top 10 level while our HC wouldn’t pick up the damn phone. The way I see it for Freeze is Year 1 he gets a mulligan, Year 2 has to be 7-5 and a mid tier bowl game, Year 3, 9-3 or 10-2 kind of season with a chance to get into the 12 team playoff, Year 4 contending for SEC and playoff spot at a minimum.

What if we don't necessarily expect to win some games, but to at least look competent and be able to throw for more than 56 yards or maybe threaten to score an offensive touchdown? Is that ridiculous?

sports talk radio in Atlanta had a homer host saying he was disappointed in this past UGA win because they let the opponent score 6 and he wanted a shutout.

I was in Oxford for business and was on the field with a client while I watched Ole Miss stomp a mudhole in UGA in 2016. It was 45-14 and not that close. I mentioned to my client what a great game plan they had for the game and he replied, “the guy can flat out coach”.

I think we need to let him do his thing, take our lumps, show up and show out as a fanbase at games and it will all fall into place.

Yep he’s right and he tried to temper it several times without coming out and saying the current talent level as a whole sucks arse.

With that said, he claimed he knew what was expected and Harsin didn’t get canned in two years because the fans have patience.

People are free to have any expectation they choose. I also think we will have games that frustrate the hell out of us. How each fan handles that is up to them. It’s futile to try to coach fans how to act.

I had no doubt we would have fans expecting more than Freeze could deliver this season. Hugh should have known too and not make a comment on it. Just keep his head down and grind.

All of this right here.

All I ask is that my team be competitive on any given game day against an SEC opponent. At no point in Saturday's game did I think that. At no point did I think we had a chance to win.

And don’t give me that UGA did in two years crap as a comp. They had huge talent available and were consistently a 9 win tm under Richt

Or Gus in 2013.

Auburn Football has made it that way!

Terry Bowden went 11-0 in his first year.
Chizik went 14-0 in his second year
Gus went to NCG in his first year.

None of them really built anything though. Just had a flash of success. I’m willing to be patient. It just isn’t that fun being patient.

Which is why Freeze should be calling plays. At the presser, you could tell he’s not pleased with it.

That is Freeze calling the plays. Need him to retake that roll for us to reach our full potential as an offense

Agreed, I want to win 9-12 annually. It’s not easy keeping expectations in check.

At some point over the next two years, the talent will improve with recruiting. At that point Brother Hugh will come out and say he’s decided to take over the play calling.

Seriously? He coached in the Mountain West which is not a big step up from coaching high school football.

I don't think it's ridiculous to expect the offense to score more than 3 points and have more than 50-something passing yards.

He’s right btw

Of course.

It's the FANS fault that they foolishly expected Freeze/Montgomery/Austin to actually have the QB position ready to play at at least a mediocre level in SEC play and not be a Harsin-level nightmare shite-show.

Damn those unreasonable fan expectations!

You're probably right, but I would argue 1980 is in the conversation.
