If Gus somehow pulls the upset next week, he'll be playing in NY6 bowl, with a shot at 10 wins, just having gone 3-3 vs ranked opponents, having beaten 2 top 10 teams.
I wonder how many of our "fans" hope we lose next week just to put more pressure on Gus.

Even though I am ready for a change, I know Gus isn't getting fired this year no matter what, so no I am not pulling for a loss. I wouldn't pull for a loss against Bama anyway. LSU maybe, but not Bama or UGA.

Some of you need to devalue college football in your life. We have a great school. Great athletic program. Basketball has started. Baseball will gear up soon. When you wish for an L vs Samford or our biggest rival, you have issues or you are an alter on our board. You didnt actually graduate from AU.

I never really hope we lose but I can be less disappointed in a loss if it moves us more quickly to change.
However if we lose by 30 to bama I believe Gus will still be our coach next season so it's double suck.

Watching how poorly prepared Gus' O is each week is maddening. However, wanting us to lose is insane. It hurts recruiting, program perception, etc...

I remember rooting against Tubs when he got complacent, and in a couple of years we won our first Natty in decades.
I rooted against Chizik when he lost the team, and we made it to the Natty the next year.
It's a battle strategy. Sacrifice a little, gain a lot. It's for the greater good.
Quit gatekeeping, and quit questioning fandom. Unless you also worked for the AD, I'd put my Auburn resume against any of yours any day of the week. It's an unfortunate situation, yes. No one wants to root against their team, but it's the only way we get rid of Gus.

Tbh basically all of those achievement I would mainly attribute to the defense. That’s what none of you get lol nobody thinks that this season has been awful but when you consider how garbage our offense has been it’s just hard to really feel like Gus brings a lot to the program.

The two situations with Tubs&Chiz aren’t remotely close to all the bitching and moaning from a very small vocal minority wanting Gus to be fired. Tubs and Chizik’ steam quit on both of them!! You can dislike Gus or the results but his teams never quit.
