I had a computer class in high school (1982) where we had to program doing let X = X and it turned me off of computers for 10 years!

What brought me back to the computing world was when I 1st heard of a CCD (Charge Coupled Device). I can honestly say that as a artist and photographer that literally reprogrammed my brain. I've been immersed in all of this technology and software ever since.

41 but I still act 14 (except I can drink and I have $)

All you 5th year Jrs don't feel bad. When I graduated Auburn, I shook the presidents hand and told him that it was the best 5 1/2 years of my life.

My granddady was the electrical superintendent for the university for a number of years in the 70s and 80s... He's got tons of stories about all the things they used to do with computers on campus.

If I'm remembering this right, Broun (I believe) was the first place to get Internet through phone cables. IBM told them it couldn't be done.

They did it anyway.

My degree is actually Electronics Engineering. I did component level circuit design for a Japanese Electronics company (NEC Technologies) for about 11 years. They eventually moved out of the country so I moved to North Georgia to work for Rockwell Automation. I transitioned more in Industrial Engineering and finished up my career there. Most of the circuit design had moved over seas.

I never used punch cards. That was a little before my time. I started with machine code and eventually to Basic then GW Basic then Quick Basic and so on.

Learned AutoCAD on a Unix System as well.

When I started my guide service back around 2000, I did some contract work for a few places while I built my service. Mostly IE work for them.

I'm pretty sure I'm 42 but I'm not doing the math so I could be off by a year.
