It is unrealistic to expect Harsin to win this in his first year. That fraud Malzahn did him no favors. Be competitive is all I ask.

With the exception of GA State, we’ve looked well coached and competitive. Really all I could ask given the shitshow at OL this staff inherited.

Now that Bo has activated the manziel switch there’s no turning back.

And credit to Harsin for making the critical decision it took to avoid the embarrassment of losing that game.

I think we get our shite pushed in today, but I’ve expected that all along. I won’t criticize the current staff for the huge talent deficit they were stuck with this season.

If we’re still letting UGa kick our asses most every season by 2024 or so I’ll be concerned, just as I was in 2016. Especially if it’s clearly the result of poor roster management like it was then.

Harsin has already shown me he can beat teams with superior talent that are poorly coached.

Malzahn won his first year.

After 3-9 so Ok

I hope we win. Will be pulling for us obviously. I think its a big hill. UGA is pretty good right now and the video game offense we played against LSU is just not sustainable.

Unless we grew up a lot last week, its a tough deal to beat this stacked UGA team

Georgia in 2013 was NOT the same as this Georgia.

I don't think it's fair to compare a coach's first year against another coach's first year.

And I think the only complaining, if we lose, is if the coach makes a bad call, or we make a lot of mistakes.
Outside of loyal Auburn fans, I think it's 99% Georgia picks.

I agree, but you know there will be some who will look past that and be hyper critical of what happens today even though they themselves don’t think we will win.

What I’m trying to do is some pre-game therapy. Keef Kneebur suggested it would be good for everyone here to discuss having realistic expectations of Coach Harsin’s first season.

Your post is a great illustration of how we all should look at this season. Still wanting to win every game, but being less critical as if the world is coming to an end critical.

UGA and Bama are different animals right now. Its hard to compare them to any other team on our schedule

Of course we want to win both games but realistically we are way behind and have been for a while. Just like every other program in college football. In recruiting, they are just beating everyone. Its been that way for a while which is a big part of why we seldom beat either of them right now.

Until we, and everyone else, can close that recruiting gap, they will just be better. Jims and Joes

Blaming Harsin for losing to them right now is just as silly as blaming Gus for losing to them in the last few years. You are behind when the game starts

Losing to a vastly superior team is far less of a coaching failure than playing down to lesser teams and not assuming blame....

... and while Georgia Southern had me worried the necessary adjustments were found. So coaching would have to be incredibly bad to derail my opinion today.

If Mason comes out with a 3 Dlinemen front today, I definitely will melt and call for his head.

You asked for it, you got it.

Not winning your first year is no excuse.

Depends on how the game goes. Georgia is very good. However they are more talented but never should Uga just stroll into Auburn whip our arse and walk out like kings. So if that happens yes there will be some bitching.

Come on now recruiting rankings have never been taken into consideration. Why start this year?

Not me. Recruiting is a bit of a concern, but I get he also needs time to establish relationships in the south. Don't have a real opinion of him either way at the moment.

He did against |LSU but every play brought a 4th or 5th player on the rush, quite disrupting...and effective. I too groaned when I saw three guys put their hand in the dirt but was pleasantly surprised. Im certain that will continue this afternoon.
