We made it through in Harris Co, GA. Prayers for those in Beauregard. My heart goes out to everyone in that community.

Having lived in the 'Gard for a while, this one is hard.
Only 10 people died across the US from Tornados in all of 2018. Lee County had 14 fatalities today alone.

I think there was very little warning that things were as serious as they were.....I knew the weather was going to suck, but I didn't really expect this.

I don't disagree with you. I was almost completely oblivious to what was going on, until it was already happening.
We were lollygagging around after church....I was woefully unprepared for there to have been deadly tornadoes 10 miles south of my house. I wasn't watching the weather, I casually checked earlier in the day just to see if I might have time to cut grass before the rain got here. Never heard a siren, which I think is how they've got them linked up now...to not sound throughout the entire county, only in the affected areas.
We were very fortunate, while a lot of folks in Beauregard were not.

Was in the air coming back from a trip during the storm. When we landing, a co-worker found out three family members had died. Horrible.

Also, having lived out there, I can say that cable TV is really non-existent and most people have satellite, which with weather going to hell probably isn't as reliable.

Hit about a mile from my house. I had no idea it was that bad until I saw the news.

Glad you are all OK. Had one close to my home back 25 years ago. Its a bad feeling and there is no way someone can explain how bad that wind and debris is until you actually are in it. I am a weather buff and feel invincible at times but that thing scared the hell out of me

I was in Atlanta but when I saw the radar earlier in the day it wasn't like the front was a solid red line of storms headed in. It was mostly yellow which would be heavy rain. I didn't think it was going to be bad.

I was in RBD when I got the Tornado warning notification on my phone but the only thing that happened in Auburn was the lights flickered. I had no idea how close the tornado was and how devastating it was until I went on twitter later on in the day. Hopefully going to make it over to Sanford Middle School at some point today to drop off some supplies. Thoughts and prayers to those in Beauregard and all throughout Lee County.

One of the biggest things needed right now is blood. If you are in the area LifeSouth has a partnership with EAMC where the blood is needed. I plan on making a donation Friday when I am down there.

We stayed outside Albany in my RV the morning a tornado rolled through town in 1/2/17. We had no idea it was bad until I drove into town.
