Decisive
Crisp, tight passes
Traditional throwing motion
Mobile
Extremely small sample size.
While the OL sucks, Brown holds it forever further magnifying the OL performance, is inaccurate, and his mechanics add time to the get the ball out.
Should we give Ti’a a real look? If so when?

He getting it out with the quickness which reduces the weakness of the O-line.

Against a defense that didnt give two shots about stopping him

Exactly, garbage time always makes the backup look like Peyton Manning. Just a total failure on all sides of the ball..,,,,.again

Brown has our best upside but I dont think this is that complicated. He isnt a true sophomore. He is a 5th year senior. He is a rent a win that isnt happening with this team makeup.
Our OL isn't good enough for Brown's strength and that isnt his fault. When we try to run him to make his legs a factor his OL proves to suck in run blocking too.
Brown's intermediate accuracy is basically Nick Marshall caliber except Marshall had an OL.
Running game is lost. Interchange the QBs sporadically and make the DCs work.
Tia may be more accurate in throwing. His throwing is extremely more polished. He will lose games too if he is QB in charge but at least we have data for next year.

It Tia can be legit threat in the run game, I’m all for him being the favorite heading into spring.
This OL is terrible… brown has to be the guy from here on out in 2026.

Byron's the scholastic finalist ...
... with a snail pace processor.
Not to say he's stupid. He's just too dainty, indecisive, and slow for this league. Up here everyone can walk, talk, and chew gum while carrying a meaningful tune. And it sets the standard that we'll pay for mediocrity because we need bodies.
Not saying next guy up...
But this playbook needs to ripped up, burnt, and rewritten with plays that Byron Brown can actually process in real time. And I get that it worked in the pee-wee league but this is not that speed of game.

I saw Tia twice in practice and I 100% know why Byrum starts.

Is he a guy that can improve and challenge for a starting spot next year?

He’ll be fine but there’s a reason Brown is QB1. (Not smuphy)

No. Auburn backups are meant to play meaningful snaps at other schools only.
Like Hank Brown at Iowa.
Like Daniels at FSU. (He played here only because Freeze was fired).
