Meh, Crawford has gotten burned plenty this season. He’d still be getting burned at Auburn too. The defensive scheme is awful and obsolete.

DBs are gonna get burned. Part of the job.

Champ Anthony...Consistently being burned. Kite (not necessarily on this staff) is a dog. Lee at UTk is a dog.

Our guys are fricking lizards

You forgot special teams. Lots of fail there too.

But the same scheme was better with the players.

Not good...but better.

So, no. It was the players. It has always been "the Jimmies and Joe's, not the X' and O's."

I mean, do you watch the first half?? The offense had a pulse, defense did too. Second half, offense can’t stay ON the field. Again, defense isn’t great, but the offense isn’t helping….at all

Auburn led in time of possession again. It’s played out people blaming the same shite defense we’ve seen for 3 years now on the offense.

Carlos Rogers and Carlton Davis would struggle when asked to play 12 yards off the LOS when the rest of the defense is in a bear front.

We have to stick with him. He is recruiting in positions of need. But the whole USF crew he brought was a waste. He had enough on the roster to win 8 games. 3M for Brown needs addressed in his annual review.

How can he whiff on a guy he's so familiar with? In no world, even with a serviceable O line is that guy an SEC caliber QB. It's hard to evaluate the Golesh offense as Brown and the line are so inept. But he's also not impacting areas under his control. Penalties, careless mistakes, special teams, other... His first drives have produced zero points, and about half of them have been complete disasters.

Auburn hired a coach who is having to learn on the job. He appears to be driven to succeed and says the right things (both improvements over Freeze and Harsin). But what can AU fans point to as providing encouragement moving forward? He's still a huge question mark imo

I am beginning to think Golesh isn't the answer.

Almost weekly I see a team out-schemed. I see a team outcoached.

I know we are down on talent, especially on D, but Golesh is the one who went cheap on the D side to spend elsewhere.

I am back to being frustrated on a weekly basis.

You need to go recheck your stats. Auburn led TOP in the 1st half. Ole miss dominated the second half and overall for the game, like 33/27. Also, take a look at 1st half/2nd half stats. The defense was in the field almost 2/3 of the second half. Everyone wants to give this G5 offense a pass. They can’t score. The defense looks terrible this year, but they keep getting put in bad spots over and over. Reality is they are not good one either side of the ball, I just believe the offense is the biggest problem.

27 rushes for 67 yards against the worst run defense in the SEC. BB 13 carries for 5 yards. JC 7 for 35 yards. OM 6 for 14 yards. TT 1 for 9

Golesh said he though pass protection was pretty solid for the most part.
