Solid exit review. Would recommend to VU ACC Big 12 or CUSA

Say whatever you like about his coaching abilities, but the dude was a class act and knew how to run a clean program. I could see him being an AD one day.

I will always be convinced that Gus would have won a lot if he wasn't so stubborn re his offense / dual threat QBs + recruiting more than maybe 8 OL over past 5years.

With a good OL + real dual threat QB, I'd believe Gus could score on anyone. Too bad we havent really seen it since Marshall

Agreed. Whats ironic is the main article on ESPN today about his firing talked about his basically he was too stuck in his ways and the game evolved without him. After Nick Marshall, we never had a true DT. The few times we actually ran the read option (Stidham against UGA and Alabama in 07 and Nix a few times this year) we caught glimpses of '13. He tried to evolve but got away from what made him great.

You’re not wrong. If you coach out AU you will be rich afterwards. Malzahns are silly rich now because of AU.

After eight years, every P5 coach at every P5 coach is silly rich.

Not a single "no doubt" in that statement proves he did not write it.

I don’t care what anyone here thinks of him as a coach but he is one hell of a man and he will always be respected by me. I hope he can find a way to grow and succeed elsewhere.

That is an absolute classy response.
