Criticisms are warranted yes but he’s a damn good coach
Damn good coach? The last 2-3 seasons say otherwise. This was a Championship caliber roster (loaded on both sides of the ball, veteran OL, star kicker, etc, etc) so I'm not sure why 10-wins is being seen as some sort of miracle. So you have 2-3 years wherein we failed expectations (mostly because the offense was terrible, his forte) and one season wherein we met expectations although lost all 3 games in absolutely embarrassing fashion.
He's earned the right to stay here on a minimal extension. To pretend like he is all of a sudden back to being some star coach is absurd. Props for not losing the team after LSU, but he created that problem in the first place and its almost like all you want to pretend like our team wasn't good or something and therefore it requires some sort of great praise for him to finally get a loaded team to win some games.

Gus Malzahn’s track record
Is not good enough to warrant a raise. In the last 4 seasons, we are 34–19, 2–7 against our two main rivals, are 1-2 in bowl games and haven’t won a championship.

45-22
67% winning percentage. This is 8 wins a season.

25-16
61% including losing records to losing records to LSU, UGA, and Bama

1 SEC championship
Props to him, can't take this away

Won the West twice
Earned it this year

3 NY6/BCS bowls
0 for 3 in these games.

2 10 win seasons
Redundant with winning the West
So basically he is an 8-4 coach who can't win bowl games or develop depth.

Other than the bowl game thing that is pretty much Auburn in a nutshell. In in his defense back in the day when you went to a bowl game out of the SEC you generally were much better than the opponent. Depth has been and continues to be a huge issue...Not having a back RB this season was crazy IMO.

And shitting the bed in every big fricking game.
This has to be one of the most irrational comments on here.
In November, virtually every game was a big fricking game. Including facing two different number one teams in three weeks.
Get some perspective on this one. This loss sucked, but this team had a particularly brutal amen corner this year.

It's dumb to say gus shits the bed in every big game. What's more accurate is to say whenever he does shite the bed, he shits it hard. We never seem to lose close games. We either get demolished or we win.

Kristi is that you? The Gus bus is headed for AR don't lose your seat.
We kept one big game close, FSU natty. But we still shite the bed in that game. Your pussy defeatist attitude perfectly embodies our athletic department.

Is losing to Ed O a big game? News to me.
Is losing to Clemson week 2 a big game? We entered this game regardless of those losses, win and you're in. Those are big games my friend. And we shite the bed. One day you will realize how you impede Auburn's progress by blind faith to undeserving coaches rather than wanting what's best for the university.

We lost by 4 in a game wherein we held a 20 point lead. That is a 24 point swing bud. I'm not sure what you think you are implying here....

that we get blown out in every big game. That just isn't the case and I was pointing it out. Today we were dominated. This is the only game this year that I feel like we got outplayed. UGA took this game. We didn't give it to them.

You are content with mediocrity.
No, LSU is not a big game by default. Especially this year. We should have pushed their shite in.
And like I said, week 2 vs Clemson is a strong opponent but not a season defining game. Should we hang the banner for keeping it close? Because just like tonight, if we had a 09-15 Auburn defense we would have been down by 28 by halftime. You claim to be an Auburn fan but support mediocrity.
While in real time, Wisconsin just lost, Bama and UGA will be in the play off. Our two biggest rivals. But yay we won a few meaningless games and get to play UCF. You are a pussy.

A 24 point swing in a game you led 20-0 is the definition of being "blown out". In fact, it is even worse because you actually had the opposing team demoralized. In a 24-0 blowout, you at least started from a 0-0 standpoint.
