I like Golesh. Summral's tough guy persona is over the top and feels forced.

Sumrall seems like he has a screw or 2 loose like Ed Orgeron or something
Reminds me a little of Dabo too

That dap just sealed the deal. Golesh has earned my war eagle+ sub.

1. He's always chewing gum.
2. He's always got at least one phone in his hands.
My coach.

I just want to remind folks a lot of you wanted Cohen's head with his one football hire before he hired Golesh. Do you still?
Never been a Cohen fan. I believe he did well hiring Golesh, but time will tell. Cohen is still in the minus territory for me, hiring Freeze and moving Baylor game to ATL are both solid moron moves. Hiring Golesh seems like a good hire, let's hope it proves to be.

Family. Auburn is a very nice college town to raise a family.

Golesh and Durkin are a great one-two punch. Golesh puts up stellar offensive stats and Durkin had stellar defensive stats. Looking forward to Auburn's football future!

I have now watched three Golesh press conferences and he is going to be a tough listen. Very long winded.

Damn Golesh looks short
Just looked it up and he’s about 5’9
Figured the Russian would be bigger

Good. Maybe he’ll bring that Napoleon overachiever complex like wee man Saban.

I get what you're saying, but as a press person I'm sure they love it, they are getting the full answer to their questions

Here is todays interview for those that missed it. He fully answers questions, thats for sure.
It backs up a lot of the points of the OP, as he has many of the same answers.

He strikes me as a high level executive. The type of guy that would be at the top of whatever he did. He's such a detailed communicator and while jang might not like it the players are gonna love it and it will lead to player development.
Personally I much prefer his style over Sumrall's rah rah "I'm a winner and winners win so we're gonna win" spiel.

I think all knew it but sounds like he wasn’t happy with recruiting and is going to hit the portal hard this year. He knows he needs to win now but also has to build depth for the future.
