It's still early in the first game of the season, but Bo Wallace is not a good QB. Hopefully Marshall is the real deal.

I watching watching the USC unc game and getting flashbacks of last year and some dumb screens from 2011 that didn't work. Our D has to step it up if we got any shot to complete.

So because it worked for one person who actually has a gluten allergy, it will work for everyone? Brilliant.

Yeah going Gluten Free working for one guy doesn't really convince me that it works for everyone.

Pretty simple gameplan for beating Ole Miss. Get up by a couple of TDs late in the 3Q and make Wallace throw the ball.

For a big, non-athletic-looking white guy, he runs the read option like a boss, but he can't read a defense when he drops back to save his life. He could've easily had 3 picks tonight.

He just makes perfect decisions on the read. He will take the ball and knows he is only going to get 5 yards.

If Marshall came out and went 31-47 for 283 yards 0 picks and rushed for 2 touchdowns I would be stoked.

wallace looked much better in the 2nd half, though... they started hitting treadwell and using the read-option. Vandy had no answer for either. Also, Ole Miss's OL played better in the 2nd half... gave up 4 first half sacks, but I can't remember one in the 2nd half.

overall, it was an entertaining game between two solid teams... not the pillow fight Ole Miss/Vandy has been in the past.

I feel good about our chances against Ole Miss since it's at home, we have an off weekend before, and OM will be coming off a road trip to Bama. Even if they win at Bama, they will be beat up. After a tough conference game to open, cupcake, and then traveling to Texas and to Bama, we get them at a good time.

This post gives me a sad inside. This is where our program is now, feeling good about beating Ole Miss. Jacobs has run our program into the ground.

People thought the same about Stanford about 5-6 years ago. Now they have been top 10 or so for a few years in a row. Same with Bama, we had their number for awhile. Programs rise and fall
