Don't know if this is who makers is insinuating but Lincoln Riley was mentioned on the corner/Bunker. Apparently he wants out at USC and the feeling is mutual.

I remember his name mentioned on the other coaching search thread and smuphy said his agent has been putting his name out for the past month or so

Opinions?

Pretty grim. I'm just going to assume no one knows anything to avoid being depressed.

Charles Kelly and James Franklin getting some mentions.

It may be nitpicking, but it always seemed strange that Riley left Oklahoma just prior to coming into the SEC. Like he didn't want the heat. Now he finds himself unexpectedly in the Big-10, and with a 7-2 record with somehow no big wins and a coming off of a 7-6 and 8-5 seasons. I don't know what to think.

USC beat the 15th ranked team this year. Is this what makers prophesied?

I can see the new coaches name at the bottom of this fifth, but it may take some time for me to see it clearly.

If you could be trusted to not disclose. you would not be on here claiming you have secret info you can't disclose.

I keep positive by telling myself the football God's have put us through the lowest run Auburns had basically, because we're about to have the best run Auburns had. It sounds crazy, but its the Auburn way

Dont buy this shite, Auburn!

Brandon Marcello has been critical of the Napier hire as well. 4 years after calling it an "A+ hire". He isn't accountable for his no-nothing opinions

Dont get his hype anymore.

Last year he went 9-5
This year he is 7-2.

He is a defensive coach that has nothing but a pourous and undisciplined defense.

If we can settle for Sumrall then we need to pinch ourselves and go get Brohm instead.

I think Brohm would love to be at Auburn or Florida and I bet he is talking to both right now. No matter what you hear him say in the media.

I don't think many people thought he was an amazing hire to begin with, just a solid hire since there weren't amazing hires available. But their performance down the stretch probably has knocked some shine off for sure.

I will say for myself I'd be fine with a Sumrall hire, it's just not gonna thrill me. If it's a choice between an offensive coach like Golesh and keeping Durkin as DC, versus hiring Sumrall and losing Durkin, give me Golesh every time.

But I'd rather have Sumrall than Durkin, Sumrall has at least had success as a head coach at multiple stops. While Durkin had terrible numbers as a head coach, and has shown an inability to maintain his defensive level as a head coach versus just being a DC.

I'd much rather have someone like Dilly or Brohm, just not sure how realistic pulling either from their alma maters is.
