I saw the primary University Twitter account retweeting the AU alert early Sunday morning.

I can't remember, but once you cross the railroad tracks there and get over on Loachapoka Road, aren't you pretty much in the projects?

looks like decent student housing to me. One street over from Glenn Ave with tons of student housing.

I used to live on Glenn near that intersection. It was a little sketchy 10+ years ago, but there are nice condos in that area now. I distinctly remember walking back to my apartment one night from the other side of the railroad tracks and Auburn police stopped and questioned me for 10 or so minutes. After they were done, they said “nothing good happens on that side of the tracks”

These houses are just south of the railroad tracks and face the tracks, not Glenn. That area is changing into student housing, but not all of it has changed yet.

Yeah, the description was odd. According to Google Maps/Street View, the 600 block of RR Ave is a bit down the street from the intersection with Donahue.

600s look like they would be roughly in the area across the tracks from the section of MLK/Lochapoka Road that is bounded by Mission and Boykin.

My son and his family live off of Hwy 14 not far from where all that shooting took place. He said his wife tried to drive through their even before the shooting, and had trouble getting through with people partying and crossing the road or just around it near that new Weagle One Stop Gas Station they put up a few years ago.

Or it could be, sarcasm or not, people are just sick and tired of having everything be thrown down their throats because "it's racist" even when it's not. Most people get tired of that shite man...

Maybe we conflate race with poverty too often?

As an example, to take crime statistics and suggest Black Americans are somehow predisposed to crime is a racist idea. However, to suggest crime is concentrated in lower socioeconomic areas is not. That door swings both ways though. To suggest all criminal behavior by the police is motivated by racism is not necessarily true as, we have cultivated a system in which the poor are treated much more harshly by the police than those who are affluent.

I was definitely being sarcastic...

Now I have this lunatic agreeing with me.

Projects aren't racist. It is short for "Government Housing Projects" which all poor Americans can live in.

Shut up, Dweeb or Schleeb whatever your name is.

Well I guess you just showed your colors and have no business posting on this board. We have legitimate Auburn fans who cannot gain access to this board yet we have a Bama fan in here. Seems legit.

Sorry, I'm heterosexual. I have no problem with those of you who are gay though. Good luck with your search. I hope you find love.

Can mods get a hold of some of this garbage? I miss the days of arguing between Sean "Glass" White and JFIII more than I ever thought I would.

You guys can hate me, but I did play a role in ridding the board of Schleeb.

You assholes are welcome.
