Florida state is an example of not listening to what the media says.

We've been burnt by this several years in a row. We know what the poison Kool aide tastes like, and we still love to drink it. But our optimism has to pay off eventually, right?

Ehhh, whatever happens, happens.

I have no control over it, so I don't worry about it too much.

If I can’t get my hopes up for a 2010/2013 type run only to have my dreams shattered by a bunch of 18-23 year old kids, then what has this all been for?

Who in the media is saying we're gonna be great or even good? I've heard that we'll be 7-5 consistently. Florida St was a top 10 team. People are saying we'll be competitive and improved nothing more dude.

It kinda kills me that people think the media know how good a team is before the season starts.

there’s literally a thread on the front page where a major media outlet says we’ll actually be worse than last year

It was my reason for not basking in the heat rays put off by some on this board earlier this year. We are a new team with tons of brand new pieces. It takes a while to gel those pieces

Plus, we have a broke dick QB.

I am a fan of our WR pieces but even I admit the WR buzz was most likely partially based on unwillingness to put our proven RBs through the grinder. I hope I am wrong but worried about our tackling more than anything.

He’s helping me not “16-0 ship” dreams, so I appreciate that from him. I won’t be in nuclear meltdown mode when it doesn’t happen. I expect 5 to 7 wins this season.

OMG folks. We’re Auburn and we suck. Don’t believe any hype, Auburn will hurt you. Can’t get hurt. Must stay in shell and keep defenses up.

Gets old folks. Come on, Heaven forbid after a bunch of bad seasons that folks have the nerve to get excited about our team.

One of my worries about o ur team showed up for FSU yesterday. They were soft. GT won the line of scrimmage.

We need to be extremely physical in these first 3-4 games because we have gone light on tackling and hitting this fall.

If FSU had adequate QB play, they win by two TD's. I follow them closely. Their season turned around last year because of QB play. It really is that simple.

You like the ones that think Auburn is a .500 team this year? That media?

Average QB and give up 190 yards rushing.

Their O left their D on the field too much. We know that story well.

Danny Kinell insinuated it was the officials not stopping the clock on GT's last drive when GT might have not been tackled inbounds. Lol

Just a reminder, don’t pay attention to what the media says. We are likely awful and you shouldn’t even watch the game Saturday.
