Exactly. What did we use our NIL for other than the most overpriced QB in football?

quote:Its not like we have someone better. We have obvious OLine issues and a shell of a WR Corp. We didn't have alot of QBs begging to come that were good. He may have thought BB would transition well with him.
If this guy thinks BB was good enough to compete in the SEC, that’s all I need to know.

We spent the money. We are top 20 NIL. No excuse. It further points to the ineptness of the AD and coach.

OMG it’s the OL. Ok, every team says that. It’s the easy low football IQ excuse. Who put this team together?

As for who put this team together then you have to know who all has a say in who we buy. The HC had a short amount of time to recruit than in place coaches.

I don’t give a frick. It isn’t like the old days where you had to recruit hs players and coach them up. The NIL and portal era has changed that. There is no excuse anymore and it’s just wasted money now.

I’d be shocked if Cohen was fired separately from Golesh.
One noose around both necks.
I guess the only way I see it playing out different is some kind of scandal or MAYBE if the nepo basketball hire proves to be terrible

OL is important but QB and coach are always more important and critical.
Turnovers were unforced - way more damage than an OL could do.

It’s low IQ football comments. Go look at Ohio State or Texas message boards. I 100% guarantee they are bitching about the offensive line.

The o-line play is trash and has plagued us for years. Bad o-line play had everyone convinced two guys in the league were terrible. We have other problems, sure, but don’t act like o-line play isn’t a major issue we’ve been dealing with for years now.

Well it all started when Gus didn’t sign a high school lineman for like multiple cycles in a row.

So does every other OL. Get a great QB, RB, and coach who knows offense and see what happens.
But, let’s say OL is 100% the problem like you low UQ folks scream about, who put out that OL out there?
In the end, same problem either way.

No one is saying the o-line is 100% the problem, but you’re acting like you can just scheme around a shite o-line, while calling everyone else low IQ.

It's an all around issue and it just makes it all worse. We don't have years of developed OLine with NIL swapping them from system to system and not playing together 2 years in a row.
BB did make bad throws that were on him also and the HC coached them and the RBs are deciding where to run that's open too.

You can definitely avoid turnovers and run the QB more. You can't change the talent level of the OL at this point. The levers to pull are coaching and QB usage.
Posted on 10/3/26 at 7:32 pm to pdfield34
Definitely. Playcalling and Brown haven’t been good by any means. It’s still going to be tough to put points on the board when 3 guys are getting to the QB in no time though.

I guarantee that there is better talent standing on the sidelines. G5 ride or die though.
