On football:
I'd be surprised if Johnson isn't the backup if Marshall goes down. Particularly if it were to happen early in the season and the coaches believe him to be the best option for winning.

I like Slade and think he is a good guy. I believe he can be a leader but as an Offensive lineman, he can't pull and isn't anything special in terms of technique and skill. Just believe there are more talented guys out there
Considering Gus Malzahn's run schemes are primarily based off of pulling guards in a man block scheme or whatever, not being a great pulling guard hurts

Got to hear Gus last night, nothing new but he certainly talks like a football coach. Physical practices to get our edge back. Team has made a 180 in attitude from last year. Deepest Offensive line he has ever been around, RB a strength and mentioned Mason, Cap, and Grant. wants physical wide receivers. Said after three weeks of spring, Cam threw such a bad pass it went over the fence, so taking time at QB. D-line and linebackers have to work together. Started Friday practicing for WSU and the air raid offense. Got better every practice, but one. Said it was coach speak but true, goal is to improve every week Best fans in world and the a-day attendance made a statement.
Tim Jackson did not speak but he did say we had sold more scholarship tickets and that is why it was moved to the Arena. Had a casino night on the third floor. JJ was also glad handing.
Will go to the scrimmage today, but will arrive late.
