Look for Pappoe and Tutt to be around 6-7 sacks each this year.
Owen Pappoe, maybe, if he plays absolutely lights out. Christian Tutt, doubtful. Both of them, no chance.

I changed the Names Pappoe to Outside backers, and Tutt to Stars in the prediction because of health concerns to take it from individual players to specific positions.

I could be way off on Star (Tutt) the secondary rush could easily come from the boundary safety (Sherwood) position. I'm guessing Tutt will be closer to the line in the slot for rushing the passer but if Tutt plays the slot man up and Sherwood slides down to an outside backer kind of position the pressure could come from that boundary safety position. I don't know what the scheme will be this year if we have no inside rush so it's just a prediction. It's a good conversation piece and something to look for in games when/if we can't get a rush do we adjust and bring pressure from other areas.

Run to pass ratio this season?

With a new line and a QB with experience do we go more 50/50 or even more?

I think Bo can be an all conference QB.

The running game will be interesting. I think playing several guys is smart early in the season. If someone begins to standout, we will likely roll with him and supplement with the others.

I just don’t want to see the Whirlybird®, or the QB at flanker reverse hand back pass. Just line up and run a play. No pirouettes please.

Sorry the "R" word offended you.

I say 10 sacks from our DLine combined and 10 sacks from our LBs/DBs combined. 20 for the season.

Does "dumbass" offend you? I would like to find a PC term to call you. I wanna be inclusive and whatnot...

There is absolutely nothing coming out of camp right now. Im guessing that is by design, but when Al Pogue's contact details from 2 days ago is the only info coming out of camp you know they've got that place locked down tighter than Dick's hatband.

For us that have special needs children (one of my stepson's is Intellectually Challenged; IC; with and IQ of 52) thinks that anyone that uses that R word themselves are the R word.

A classy individual as yourself probably uses it and the N word both. You know because neither of those people one of which you are trying to describe have no control over how they were born whether it be mental capacity or color of their skin.

This is just a PSA for anyone. Just like the N word the R word makes you sound just as ignorant and hopefully people start to realize that its just as wrong to use and isn't cute anymore.

Completely agree. I used to throw it around all the time until one of my best friends had a kid with downs. Haven't said it since and I cringe every time I hear/see it used as an insult. Once you finally realize the ramifications your word choices have on other people, you start to realize words really do have power.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

fwiw, I could see our OLB's getting 6 sacks(not just one of them, but in total), but don't see the star spot doing that. Maybe 3-4 from that spot at most.

I'm hopeful we'll get better pressure from the edge this year, because I don't see that up the middle. We have big run stoppers at DT this year, but I don't see anywhere near the production from the middle like we got with Brown. Probably stating the obvious there, but I do like our DT's ability to hold the line and stop the run effectively this year. Losing Miller hurts depth, if nothing other than just having a body to sub in to give the others a break.

Our future Warren Sapp, JJ Pegues, will more than take up the slack of Miller leaving, as soon as he finishes his experiment at TE, half the team is made up of TEs, we can spare one.

Now you know it take them on average three years to finally move a player to another position, so dont get your hopes up.

The exception lately is Matthew Hill who Gus seems to hate for some reason. He had one of the most impressive plays in the Iron Bowl, breaking 4 tackles on one of Gus' shitty screens for a 1st down on the drive that gave us Sal's TD catch. Yet Hill gets no love.

I'm sorry your kid has disabilities, but those aren't the same and shouldn't be treated the same.

Let’s get back to breaking down the Whirlybird®?, please.

Over/under: Whirlybird®? during season 3.5

I’ll say under.

By Whirlybird to you mean the orbit motion play action pass over the middle used on 3rd down? Probably over. We could see that 4 times this year if Gus is putting pressure on Morris to call Gus' plays.

If you mean the Twirlybird or CoxCat then under. If we ever see that abomination again Gus should be fired on the spot during the game.

We only have 4 plays. How do yall keep getting the names mixed up?

We coined the term Whirlybird a full season before the CoxCat appeared. 2015 vs Ole Miss to be exact when that stupid play action pass was the only thing we could use to move the ball.

Heard about a new play: whirly, twirly, swirly bird

Nix under center hand off to Shivers who was motioning from slot, reverse to Stove, who hands it back to Bo, then a pump fake to Joiner on the wheel route, and toss a 4 yard drag route to Shenker.

We are involving the TE this year!

ShenkerCat may be featured versus UGA.

“Shenker in shotgun, Notre Dame Box with Shivers, Stove, and Schwartz. Here’s the snap, pirouettes and a double fake with a pass to Fromm in the Flat. Play gains 4 yards. Gus rolling the hands. Same formation, looks like inside zone to Shivers for a yard. Bo trots back in. Shotgun, orbit motion, downfield pass for Seth complete.”
