It is hilarious how much you act like a bitch about Freeze or act butt hurt about it as if we didn't try to go get other guys first.

Stay perpetually butthurt or go to west Vance.

It's his expectations.

Not as if anything in this thread is much more than fodder for later.

Coaches making multi-multi-millions per year, players getting paid, wide-open transfer market where players can pretty much transfer at will, universities monetizing every area of college game-day that used to be free…

But the FANS are still supposed to behave like its the 1980’s?

Okie dokie, Croch… sure thing.

Strong points there, maybe it was always a delusion but until pretty recently I felt like I was supporting a group of young men who largely loved Auburn, wanted to be tbere, and were representing it to the best of their ability.

Now it feels like a bunch of hired guns whose primary goal is to get as much as they can from AU and get out.

May not be totally accurate but thats how it feels to me, and it is a lot easier to be critical of the latter group.

You know it's delusion and I do too. I was the same way.

Fandom was pure back then and naievety off the charts.

I feel like every fanbase in this conference is toxic to an extent, hell, this website is a prime example of it.

From Bammer all the way to Vandy (yes, I said Vandy. FB coach is on the hot seat and they're getting mad at the admin for... changing the logo and not giving two shits about NIL) is toxic in this conference. It's also like that all around the nation.

Any retard with at least a supbar internet connection can fire off whatever they feel like saying about CFB and CMBB. It's one of the things we have to deal with now.

They are pros now. The sentimental shite is out the window at this point. You get paid, it’s your job now. It’s not amateur athletics anymore. This is what folks wanted. They want their cake and to eat it too. No.

You get paid to do a job. If you can’t deal with any negatives coming your way, oh well too bad. Just do your job.

Just win baby!

Social Media awful, but not real life. I have fun when I go to Auburn and really have stopped worrying about winning and losing so much. We aren't going to compete with what Alababama and UGA are doing. We just aren't. It's ok.

Preach. This is absolutely correct.

It's much more of an internet thing imo. People, in general, are more toxic. Everyone has a platform now and can say what they want with little to fear in the way of repercussions. The internet has changed us all to one degree or another.
