I heard Gus's car was seen at Chizik's house today. The smock as DC, he's still got all the under armor.
We're also still paying his arse so it would save the AD some money which we'll likely need with all the buyouts hanging over our head

Can somebody explain what our running of the 4-2-5 will have to do with the hire? Do we want somebody who runs a 4-3 or 3-4? Would the transition be easier with one or the other?

4-3 would be the easier transition. Pretty much the same personnel required to run both

This is disappointing and reeks of Chiz kicking Ted Roof to the curb following the 2011 season.
At some point there has to be some stability to the defensive staff
Stability is shite when you're surrendering 30+ per SEC game.

Ill wait to see who we get to be excited.

Muschamp rode chizik's coattails at Auburn and Texas.

True. His D's sucked at UF.

I was wrong. I said he would not be fired
He gone
He gone

I have never been so happy for somebody to be so wrong.

This is a good day for Auburn football moving forward.

Bud Foster was paid half of what Johnson was paid this year and it's clear Beamer doesn't want to step down anytime soon at VT. I'd go check on his availability

No they didn't. His D at UF has been stout.

Top ten in total defense the last three years while having a terrible offense. I'd say beyond stout. And perhaps even more importantly a very good passing defense.

Next time you are at the Walmark, buy a sarcasm meter.

I've been told there's mutual interest between Malzahn and Muschamp. Would be a formidable pair on respective sides of ball.
This time he could be the DC at Auburn with complete autonomy and get all the (hopefully) deserved credit.

They're talking now. We're trying to bring him in before the bowl game.

I will say this GM does allow the defensive staff to operate as a unit. He's not going to be meddling in things like other coaches we have.
