I see how the RB carries are distributed against Arkansas.
If DJ Williams gets less than 10 carries vs the pigs - then Gus will get blown out by LSU.
If DJ gets 20 carries and runs well, we have a chance.
We all saw how devastating our running game was with Cam Newton and Nick Marshall running the read option. Why we don't utilize Gatewood more, considering his natural abilities and size, is beyond me. Hell, let him run a shite-ton of RPO too! He cannot be any less accurate than Nix has been.
We must have the most stubborn coach ever to roam a sidelines.

Huh? How is Gus holding Nix back? He's got the whole playbook! Throws, QB-designated runs, etc. Meanwhile, when Gatewood does get in the game, handoff, handoff, keeper, handoff, pitch out to Nix some that he can attempt a throw!
Don't get me wrong, I like Nix, but a blind man can see that he's just not there yet. There's a reason why we haven't started a true freshman in 50 years.

Auburn scored 27 points in their come from behind win against Oregon. Oregon's 5 opponents since then have scored 25 combined.

I do!
Nix was not good, or even serviceable that game. He should have been given the hook. That's on coaching. Again, I like Nix, and probably has a bright future, but that day he was detrimental to the team.

I guess it's possible that Gatewood would have thrown 3 INTs and repeatedly missed open receivers. Gus did say the QB race was down to the wire, in the preseason after all.

You have to let Bo take his lumps....he probably learned more in the loss vs Florida than all the wins combined. Including that he still has a ways to go after being anointed the chosen one...especially after the State game. I’m glad it happened early and outside the West.

After witnessing a crap-load of bad throws, and two interceptions, you have to pull that guy in a close game. The goal is to win the game, not protect a players feelings. What did he learn by being left in? Coach will keep me in, even if I'm stinking up the place and the end result is a loss? Jeremy Johnson comes to mind in the way he was handled. Say what you want, but Gus broke Johnson. He had no business being on the field, and Gus kept trotting him back out there, and it got worse.
What did Gatewood learn? Regardless of how bad the guy in front of me is playing, I still won't see the field?

At our worst, almost certainly. Do you think UGA is who they were vs. USCe? Or, maybe the had a bad game and USCe had a good game?

I think we are more than capable of beating Florida in ATL. Nix would play better.

Are you high? Do you not remember how he looked when forced to start the season opener because Marshall was suspended?

Was gus not coaching him then? He was terrible, get over it
Posted on 10/12/19 at 5:02 pm to jangalang
Agreed. I’m happy we don’t have a game this weekend but I’m anxious to see how the team responds after a bad loss like that.

He got worse throughout his career at Auburn.

Our defense played damned good. Our weakness was QB play. We would have had a better chance if we had not thrown one pass. Head Coach Stubborn couldn't see what what everybody else was seeing.
