Did we discuss Carlton Davis's play on Saturday?

To be thrown out there like he was, I thought he played well. He got out of position a few times but he looks like he has potential.

He needs to get some refinement in technique but he looks talented

Certainly. But he played a lot of plays Saturday. Decent tackler too...

I thought he did well for having to be depended on this early in his career.....he made mistakes, but he's a true frosh....I can understand that, its the upperclassmen that bother me

Irvin and Carlton Davis both look solid as true freshmen.

He always seemed to be right in the WRs hip pocket rather than getting Mincy'd and that is fricking awesome.

I did notice this and I liked it. I'll go read some negative stuff about the team now.

Now only if he'd turn and find the ball
He did play pretty well

I thought he played very well. The problem for our freshman CBs Saturday is those freaking WRs caught everything
Davis needs some time in the weight room but you can't help but be excited about our secondary moving forward. Irvin, Davis & Dinson have all performed pretty well for freshman being thrown into the deep end immediately

Boom was protecting them somewhat and giving too much cushion. Looking back is what the best do, but many teams do not

If you paid attention, as the game progressed he started to turn his head and that helped. Early on he was more concerned with not getting beat. When he settled down and realized he wasn't gonna get beat and started turning his head.
