I guess my expectations were to high coming into the season, but looking forward can the guys get to a higher level of execution over the next few weeks?

If Lawson returns, it makes a big difference.

Is there hope at LB? Can we develop some non-Lawson pass rushers?

I think the DBs are ok, but with essentially no pass rush it is hard to stick with guys all over the field.

Marginally.

It's going to take a couple of years. It's not a coincidence that we have had essentially the same group of LBs and DL the past few seasons and the defense remains bad. We don't have the quality players needed to field a good defense. I hope that is not a development issue. Time will tell.

We actually have improved even if the Stats do not reflect it. We do not get a consistent pass rush, Lawson will help make other folks better pass rushers (See first quarter vs. UL).

Our LB (Frost) do not play assignment football, period. I have NO hope this year.

DB have actually been a bright spot.

How close is CWM to benching Frost for good?

Replace him with whom? I mean I wouldn't object to playing a 3-2-6. Our DBs are the only ones who don't consistently suck. They just suck here and there

Xavy Mitchell, Deshaun Davis, I don't know, but if Frost is truly incapable of playing his assignment, he'll have to sit OR JUST A GAP BLITZ FROST EVERY PLAY

My only point is that at this point we are rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic of our DL continues to be poor and we don't get an aggressive attitude

Its Lawson or bust. We have very good secondary players but zero pass rush. Without Lawson we.will look as bad or worse from here on Out

He started last game but just like every week Frost ends up playing the majority of the game. Branden Allen broke Frosts ankles 2 or 3 times. He needs to be benched

He impressed me in the one game I've seen in person (MSU game).

It has been a year and a half, do you really need to ask this question?
