It is whatever at this point, but the concerned parties should damn well hold him to whatever contract he signed and take his arse to court for any monies owed. Do not let him or any other off the hook.

Nothing personal, just business.

I’m hearing Freeze kicked him off the team.

I'd assume he is getting kicked off the team because we denied the redshirt and he didn't show up to practice today. Highly doubt we just kicked him off the team because he asked to be redshirted.

Not defending any side here, just feel its probably important to clarify in a situation like this. It was obvious in 2012 when the last straw broke, curious if this will be that moment for this team.

Freeze doesn't want more serviceable bodies asking to redshirt.

That's pretty obvious.

Its not his choice if he redshirts. He signed an NIL contract, he's on scholarship. If he wasn't playing or getting 1 or 2 snaps a game I would support redshirting in that case, I think someone wanted to do it under Harsin and I supported that. He was playing plenty though, you don't just get to decide as a player if you are done or not and keep your spot. Things don't always go great, doesn't mean you quit.

While I get that... Freeze is walking a fine line in the locker room. Games have been competitive so far so he's got to get keep the locker room ready to play.

We dealt with Harsin trying to force players to burn redshirts and I think Freeze is doing it the best way.

I get where Alston is coming from, I really do. That being said, being a team captain and asking for a redshirt because things are going shitty is pretty awful. Don't know what the right move here is, everyone is in a crap position and at the end of the day, that falls on the HC.

We don't have the bodies at RB with Robinson out. Henderson or Mabson would have to burn their RS or we leave it up to Cobb and walkons. Sucks though that regardless, that is going to have to happen anyways.

I actually understand both sides in this situation. Just seems to be handled poorly.

Could we play Henderson 4 games and Mabson 4 games?

How many games has Mabson played in already?

Singleton and Simmons could get more carries.

Yea, we could. Mabson has played in 2 games and Henderson 0 as far as i'm aware. Doubt we'd go that route though, but we shall see. Will probably be Justin Jones and Christian Burnette that get the work. Maybe we use Mabson for one more game.

This proves Hugh has lost the locker room. Damari is a fricking captain. He can't be the only guy thinking this staff is cooked.

I am thinking we will be just fine with Cobb and the rest handling the 11 to 12 carries we average per game.

Love him or hate him, Finebaum is as connected as they come and stated “If Hugh Freeze loses to Missouri he won’t make it to the Iron Bowl.”

I wish time the best. He waited his turn. But, it was also obvious that Jeremiah is the better back. I think Cobb is a very good back. Very underrated

Couple of things.

He has absolutely laid it on the line in pass pro this year. He’s not great at it but was trying. He did a flying horizontal block on a blitzing linebacker off the edge against aTm or JA would have been killed. He’s never been SEC quality running back. I pointed that out in his recruitment and got roasted.

But quitting in the middle of the season is an absolute bitch move. Our fricking OL don’t get carries either and are asked to block. He’s never can be mad he isn’t getting carries on himself. He gets tons of snaps.

College football is broken.
