It is a big successful group. Its a shame that the school does so little for them

Cool video thanks for posting. Anyone know how to support the team? They sell merchandise or something?

I am going to make a donation. I think sending a check with a letter specifying that the money is for the Bass Fishing Team would work.

Looks like they need new paint jobs for the boats and new vests.

With Under Armor gone ......Wonder if Nike will throw them a bone?

Make sure it goes to the correct person or it will get "lost" in the system and they will never see it.

The guys I dealt with are gone now but getting to the right person is important

I used the link in the post by EagleEye99. I think I will make regular monthly donations. They seem to be underfunded by the University compared to other sports like football, basketball, etc.

LOL. You can say that again. They basically get nothing from the school.

No NIL for the Bass Fishing Team? That's messed up.

The bass fishing team brings in their own sponsor support. Just like they did with my company the times we sponsored them. That money is then split with the team in a form of expenses to fish tournaments. The members of the team do not get the money for drugs and hookers.

If I remember well, the team had around 60 members when I was affiliated with them. They have internal tournaments to decide order in the team. Highest placing guys within the team gets to do the bigger events and tournaments. They earn their way in

The majority of the money needed for the team to travel and compete comes from the sponsors they get on their own. The school gives them pennies

There have been a few years in which the Bass Fishing Team was one of the only teams at Auburn to win on a consistent basis. It is great that your company sponsored them.

It was something we were happy to do.

Jordan Lee just won the Major League Fishing Heavy hitters tournament on Lake Tahoe. Major win and will bring home 100K for his efforts.

Congrats Jordan. Dude just has another gear when it comes to the huge events.

Also congrats to KVD for catching big fish and 100K for his efforts. His last major event. tGOAT and not really even close.

Just came here to post this. I really wish the university would invest some time, effort, and energy into this program. For as great as they have been, I wonder how much better we could be with some official support.

Still want to buy a shirt or a hat......

It does not bring in any money. The school is not interested in supporting it

They are on their own

That Heavy Hitters tournament was fun to watch. Old school frogging on hydrilla mats, chatterbaits over underwater hyrdilla, and punching mats. Just good old school power fishing. Happy for J Lee and KVD.

My fishing buddy from work was just telling me about this. What a closing to tGOAT career. He said it was in the last hour of his last tournament before his retirement.
