I hope Caddy learns a lot from here till Freeze is not here and hopefully that a long time. I want Auburn to be great. But when that time comes I want Caddy as the head man. Caddy is AUBURN! war eagle!!!

Coach Carnell, Coach Williams, Coach Lac, Coach Cadillac, Coach Caddy, etc.

just make sure to stick "Coach" in front of his name to show the man the respect he has earned and deserves!

My ideal coach is the one that puts Saban in his rocking chair with his Red Man and Miller Lite in hand (well known he has an affinity for these) for good.

The next time we win in Tuscaloosa, he is done.

Mark it down.

Is the topic of this thread not ‘Coach Williams’?

It is! Not correcting you - just adding a point to the discussion! See a lot of folks just calling him “Caddy” so I just wanted to comment on this

That has been done

Caddilac Williams is far from being that coach at this time

Agreed. Although I would really prefer to stay away from alums. Because it is very rare these days to have a coach retire as opposed to being fired (even if they have a pretty good run along the way).

Why sully the memory of an amazing former player by giving them the ax and moving in a different direction?

Jackson St job is about to come open. It wouldn't surprise me if he's their #1.

Wonder what kind of raise he got?

Also, I bet he gets some looks from smaller schools during this coach hiring cycle and maybe the next couple years if he tears it up on the recruiting trail and Auburn gets the offense going under Freeze. That's why I'm wondering what kind of raise he got. I'm sure he wants to stick around Auburn, but if some smaller schools puts $3 million on a contract for him, it be hard to turn down for the sake of his family's future.

Re Etheridge: our secondary was also awful this year. Not sure why some have this infatuation with former Auburn players. Hire who will get it done.
