In my opinion Chaney is the wildcard for the team going into postseason.

We don’t need 20 point Chaney. We need 12 pt 7 rebound Chaney and no reaching or dumb fouls. Need him to play 20 solid minutes a game. Anything offensively we get from Dylan other than a lob dunk is a plus on the offense. So 20 minutes from Dylan and 20 from Chaney with both going ham rebounding and playing solid defense but the key is balance with Chaney on the court.

Let’s frickin go. Win 4 straight weekends and hang 2 banners!!!

How can a guy be so good on defense and so unskilled on offense?

I would call him an “elite” defender, but on offense basically he can screen, dunk, and rebound.

The 25% foul shooting is a liability.

You need to be flexible and fluid in offensive skill. Dylan has neither. He’s all power. Should be a very good rebounder.

He has bad hands but has become a very good passer.

He seems like a hard worker.

I was hoping by now he’d have some deep post moves like Kevon McHale.

That’s the only way to win them is one at a time.

I am secretly not minding the Chaney down-swing because we know how good he can be. I am hoping he will self-reflect on his performance the past few games and will wake up tournament time to have a huge impact.

I feel like our entire team are wildcards. We have like 7 guys who can look like an all American for two weeks then totally disappear for a few games, repeat. Broome has obviously been consistent game to game but even he is prone to long stretches or halves where he disappears. Need aggressive johni from here on out and everyone to play their roles more consistently

I just want guys playing solid again. When things are going well its easy for a whole slew of players to feed off positive emotions and front run, leading the offense.

But when things are not going well we need the bucket getters. For a long stretch Chaney was our answer even when Broome sucked. I know he can do it, so do it. Miles Kelly can do it too. Tahaad and Broome aren't enough

Yeah, we need Kelly and Denver to go back to that middle part of the SEC schedule where you would look at their stats after a game and be surprised that they went for 14-16 pts or so.

I remember several games this year where I would look at stats and every time someone (or a couple guys) who seemed to have a quiet night went for like 15pts/8rebs/4ast or a similar line. That's how we blew a bunch if good teams out earlier this year. Whether it be Chaney, Denver, Kelly or Pettiford off the bench.

Gotta get Denver healthy so Pettiford isn't having to do so much. He was on dead legs at the end of that Bama game Saturday. I think that played into him missing 2 of 3 from the stripe and the awful, lazy TO he gave up down the stretch.

Pretty awesome we have a chance to win it all, but in order to do so, most of the team has to play well. Coaches have to game plan well in short time frame etc. It all has to come together.

Pretty amazing we won SEC championship as UF, Bama, UT all have chance to be final 4 teams. Sucks we lost last two after clinching but it may have been what we needed.

Finally, we have to beat the crap out of teams in early rounds. We will have a hard time in close games because we will get horrible officiating just like against Yale. It will be no different this year. AU is not loved by anyone but us and never will. It’s the best and worst part of loving the place.

I agree with this, as someone who was on a team who won State year after year, you have to know your role.

Chaney needs to focus more on rebounds/defense if his shots aren’t falling, move to backup role. He does have beautiful fade.

Cardwell needs to rebound, pass, stay under the bucket, and WORK THE CROWD!!

Know your role, accept being the Robin to the Batman!

I accepted a backseat role for the team and I was as happy as a pig in slop to be apart of a Championship team.

If he can consistently defend without fouling, we are in good shape. He is a good rebounder and streaky offensively. He needs to be able to solidly rotate the 3/4 some. If he gets quick, cheap fouls as he has been proned to do, it really messes up some rotation .

Chaney's looked like a giant pussy lately. Like his head's not there at all. Had an odd expression on his face during the Bama game.

Chaney was not able to hold his spots against T A&M or Bama, getting pushed around. I thought he was stronger than that.
