“If Bo and his family, of all people, were surprised by anything Auburn or it's fanbase after 30 years of associating with Auburn as a current/former player than that's a Nix family problem. People are no more critical of anything football now than they were in the early 90s“

Not true about Auburn fans. This negativity toward Auburn players by so called Auburn fans is relatively new, last 20 years or less. There were always a few negative Nancy’s for sure, but not nearly as widespread as it is today. I think my opinion may be skewed by the impact social media and message boards have on peoples ability to have their voices heard, but I refuse to believe our fan base was this toxic back in the 70s thru 90s.

They were booing White and calling for Nix my sophomore year. They were booing Nix and calling for Dameyune my junior year.

Same shite with Ben Leard, Daniel Cobb, Nick Marshall, Sean White and on and on an on.

This is not a new problem and certainly not unique to Auburn. UGA is playing for the NC Monday night and the 1st mistake Stetson Bennett makes they will be screaming for Daniels.

You can support Bo and still think he’s not a world beater QB, Mrs. Nix.

I don’t know one Auburn fan that didn’t want Bo to succeed. I also don’t know anyone that now thinks he was that good.

Personally I don’t think it was in Bo’s best interest to come to Auburn to begin with….not because I don’t love Auburn and want the best…but Malzahn destroyed every QB he got his hands on, and Bo could be in a lot better position right now with better coaching to start his collegiate career.

Meh, not completely accurate with the access fans have directly to players through social media.

Apply your same methodology to every QB in the country. Do we have to do this? "Stats don't tell the real story.." Bo Nix was average and his teammates didn't like him. One might be forgivabable but the fact he just wasn't that good, and also wan't liked led to why we are here.

I am not really understanding your response. Are you saying stats do tell the whole story? Of course stats can be a big part of the story, but when a players is judged SOLElY on their stats it can be misleading. That is all I am saying.

I have seen a lot of people critique a player just from looking at his stat sheet. To me that is not a favorable method of determining the actual talent of the player.

I also am not following on the Bo Nix part of your response. I 100% agree that Bo Nix was not that good and he wasn't that liked. I don't understand what that has to do with me saying Zach Calzada is getting a lot more hate than is warranted?

Any verification on Calzada not available for spring practice due to shoulder procedure?

wrong. Every Qb not named Cam Newton has been booed mercilessly. ONly difference is the amount of estrogen in the fans that dont want to admit to it

I've been watching Auburn football since 1970 and this is BS.

Name the ones that werent booed. Go ahead and try

eta: we also used to have a post game call in show that allowed fans to give the coaches hell and ask them questions. Now the coaches hide and dodge the firing squad after games. Coddled coaches, coddled players.
