Too many people have fallen in love with the story of Cooper Flagg. The people who write stories for a living want a good story? Shocker.

Eh, it is playing matchups. The Broome/Z matchup wasn't a good one, and when you add in that they doubled every time Broome got the ball and Arky did well to limit his ability to pass out of the double, continuing to go to Broome would have been dumb, and an example of poor coaching. Chaney had a better matchup and wasn't drawing a double team.

Has Broome cost his team a game? Flagg in all 3 losses for Duke has had a turnover in the last minute basically to lose the game for Duke.

In close games like last night Broome had a late offensive rebound put back to kind of seal the deal. Same thing against Iowa state. I’m sure there have been more.

Then factor in the difference in schedule and in my opinion the POY shouldn’t be close.

Of course, can't discount Johni being banged up. As it stands though, our ground bound offense was shaky when that guy was in the paint. Clearly Auburns defense rattled him too though, some of his many 3pt misses were brutal.

Not directly like Flagg has on those clutch possessions but I thought he got whipped by Florida’s bigs

Auburn has made a Johni Broome for PotY website so they are marketing hard for him now

80% of the people around me were old farts. I don’t know if that is a reflection of ticket prices or what but they couldn’t be bothered to get up and cheer. Seats are also super narrow and hard to get in and out of, and there’s barely any space to stand side by side and cheer at least at the top level.

The crowd seemed really dead all night on TV compared to the rest of the season.

Can’t blame a student for selling a ticket for $350

Well almost no one has “tickets” anymore but a virtual “ticket on their phones.

Is that what you’re trying to say?

That sucks for the students then. I sold mine several times and netted a decent profit.

The only student tickets that Auburn has is for football, and those are non-transferable / can't be sold. If a student is not going to use their football ticket they have to turn it back in virtually via a student ticket portal.
