Pretty wild. I had seen some stuff on Oates interviewing. Wild this happened as quickly as it did.

Not at all. I’m hearing they think they’re going to hire Hurley. I find it unlikely that he’d go to UK, but I 100% believe they’re going to try. That means nothing will happen before tomorrow, since Hurley is a little busy at the moment.

I agree. Shows how Kentucky thinks, though. I’ve also heard Billy Donovan, who I do think would take the job.

I'd be curious how willing Donovan would be to step back into college with the portal and NIL.
I doubt Hurley will take it unless he's concerned about UCONN's future with conference realignment stuff and the NCAA seemingly on it's deathbed.

Donovan would be scary but he’s cookie cutter to Calipari and Petino I bet that slick back hair and attitude might be worn a little thin at UK.

I'll never say never but I'd be shocked if he ever coaches in college again. The reasons he gave for leaving was recruiting was wearing on him and having to play the AAU game. With the portal and NIL now a central part of college coaching I just don't see it

Seems like many are beginning to suggest that Scott Drew or Bruce Pearl will be the next two asked for the KU job behind the aforementioned list of names. Whether that’s just speculation or not is anyone’s guess-

Pearl may take the UK job if offered. He was a hot candidate for Indiana, who he said was his dream job, but he is still here. His age and his son's status here helps us tremendously.
