The vitriol is because he's a multi-time proven scumbag who makes poor decisions. I fail to believe this is the best Auburn can do.

You're 100% correct. I think that's why you are seeing so much push back. It's not freeze as a coach. It's the fact that we always end up taking 2nd or 3rd choice because it seems they can't spend good money ONCE. Granted it's not my money, but why continue settling for crap? Get a good coach and quit paying one to leave every 2-3 years

This whole "he can only win 9 games" crap is old.
Coaches that have 10-wins season(s) at Auburn after having zero 10-win seasons (as HC) before getting to Auburn:
- Pat Dye (4 SEC titles)
- Gene Chizik (1 SEC title, 1 Natty)
- Gus Malzahn (1 SECW title, 1 SEC title, 1 Natty appearance)
We can have AND HAVE HAD tremendous success with coaches who won less than 10 games a season at their previous gig.
Coaches that have 10-wins season(s) at Auburn after having zero 10-win seasons (as HC) before getting to Auburn:

Auburn reaching out to Liberty to try and turn over every stone with their investigation to make sure Freeze isn’t complicit. Search committee has already done digging when they first started the search, this is just due diligence.
So if true (but if considering these guys have just been shooting from the hip) it sounds like if he comes out clean (enough) that it will be Hugh.
