Thank goodness he just signed an extension. I would have to take a 3 year break from football, if that happened. He’d be 6-6 or 7-5 every year.

I’m on the Prime train. Way more exciting than Kiffin. Someone make some calls.

It’s always been prime for me. Then lane. Either one I will be fine with but someone is going to hit recruiting gold with prime and absolutely dominate that side of the game. Whether he can use the players he brings, we’ll see. But hell at least have em.

Not the GOAT hire, but probably the best hire for the circumstances (although I’d still prefer Fickell).

You see how the team has responded to the high energy encouragement rallying spirit that Carnell has. Deion has similar vibes but a little older with some HC experience. Idk if they’ll take that gamble though given he hasn’t coached FBS. But the night and day difference with Coach Williams should make you pause and think at least for a minute.

Mike Farrell says on his own website that Ole Miss is easier to recruit than Auburn. I hate that guy and have done so for years. Supposedly it’s easier to recruit because they’re not number 2 in that horrible state.

I don't even follow this logic. We are in the same conference and it's not like Mississippi is a state full of 5 stars every year unless I'm missing something

Farrell is just ignoring the many facts that are there to call upon when comparing the two programs.

It’s ludicrous and has no standing.

If you have followed any interim HC situations in the past, you would know that this is incredibly common and not at all indicative of anything. The interim almost always "re-energizes" the team after everyone was morbidly depressed by the guy who was fired midseason.

Literally the same shite happened at LSU with Orgeron. The players forced him into a permanent role and he fluked his way into a championship, but his "energy" otherwise didn't last.

What you need to understand is that this energy dissipates quickly once you start playing real teams and/or start losing. We barely beat a horrible A&M team and beat an under-talented WKU team at home. Yes, everyone is energized...right now. It's literally a Honeymoon.

Right... Most of their decent guys get poached either way. I should start writing crap articles and get paid for it.

That’s why Old Piss is usually way behind Auburn in recruiting rankings?

Don’t want to speak for the other poster, but I don’t think he is advocating for Cadillac, it’s pointing what that can do for a team and there’s a guy that can bring that all the time.

I’ve sat and watched the Kiffen vs Freeze bitch fights here. I’ll be ok with either, but I really believe neither is a championship coach. We have a track record on them. Is there potential they’ll do better with Auburn? Yes. But how much better and down the line will we be happy with it?
I still say the possibilities are through the roof with Prime. That’s what I want. I think down the road we’ll be sorry if we don’t get him.
Cohen and his 53 point plan? Paralysis by analysis. Doesn’t give me a warm and fuzzy. I hope the PTB make the call. His hires at MSU were shite. Moorhead? Cohen smart super genius IQ hire. He sucks. Leach? Super IQ genius knuckleballer. F*ck that!

Using this logic, Wyoming is a better job than auburn.

There is no certain home run. Does not matter if we use a 53 point plan or have three guys decide over dinner and beer in that regard.

To me, I think Kiffin is worth the shot. He may have downsides but so does every coach we may get.

The bright side to me is that I think we are by far the best job opening out there right now and while I don't see any automatic slam dunks --- there are a lot of good candidates. So, we shoot for Lane and if that falls through we have many more options. And all of those options are better than the last coach we had.

It’s fricking MSU. These takes are terrible. Morehead was considered a good hire at the time and Leach is about as big a name they could expect. On paper, Mullen>Moorhead>Leach is a pretty good haul for them

It’s spelled K-I-F-F-I-N. There’s no E in his name.
