I'm hoping Dabo is the smokescreen but he is really the only one that lines up for me with the "would be shocked they would leave their current program" rumor. But we would have to give a massive contract to top his current one? I still think we get Kiffin. I believe we are truly coming into "alignment" after the Harsin debacle and with the new facility & large NIL we are a couple good recruiting classes away from being top 5 program for years to come. I think Kiffin knows the ceiling is higher at AU.
I'm really trying to keep my "orange" colored glasses on!

I 100% believe Dabo is trying to get a raise... he's not done well lately and needs something to bargain with. He's an effing TURD and is using AU to do that.

Bama Twitter is melting at the thought of Kiffin to AU.

Hoke posted an update to the board and it has Luke Fickell right behind Kiffin. He has mentioned that there is increased chatter there in the chance that Kiffin is a no-go.

We aren't hiring that clown Dabo. But it's not hard to understand. The ACC will pay Clemson 35MM per year. When our new contract hits, Auburn will be paid 100MM. The landscape is changing.

Interesting but I had no idea because eff that turd... Hypothetically, if we did do something crazy and hire that guy I have no doubts he would jump ship the first chance he got and I don't even know if I could watch because looking at him makes me angry.

Exactly. I don't think people understand the scope of what is happening down the pipeline. I've seen a lot of dumb takes like "oh Dabo can just keep winning the ACC, why would he leave?". He plays in a dying conference and once the money starts flowing elsewhere it will become increasingly harder for him to keep up.

The dumbest take that fans believe is that alpha HC's like coaching at jobs where they have little competition. Those schools typically have little competition because the conference they're in is not good. If your conference isn't good, then good luck actually competing for what matters.

Out of every one mentioned Kiffin/Champ is the choice that moves me and the turds should be worried. IMO, I think he would absolutely kick arse here

Fickell would be intriguing but I'm wondering if we're just trying to stick another semi-high profile guy in the mix (someone a little more likely than Dabo) to put the pressure on. Would make sense. Having Freeze as the backup is ok to an extent, I mean we'd get him for 6-7 million. But I assume Lane's camp believes there is a significant chance we're already a hard no on Freeze unless we have to dig deep (and maybe not even then). So Freeze as the backstop might be limited for negotiation purposes.

I just saw the clip of Charles and I can't imagine A&M firing Jerkbo and paying him almost $100mil, I'm thinking Stoops at KY might get it after losing to Vandy and KY will go after Dion. Plus Dion will leave any school for F$U when the come calling.

One of you can give input on if austudent is legit or not

Austudent22 from the scout/247 boards is legit but he hasn't posted anything about Dabo that I've seen. There was another with a similar name that used to post about recruiting on another board but i wouldn't think he would have any insight here.

Austudent23 and tFam board is holding firm that Dabo is the guy and wants to move back to AL. No clue if he is legit or not.

Pets heads will explode if that happens... I'm not sure I could get behind that, I think he would just come here to secretly run the program in the ground more and go to turdville when Satan retires with a hero's welcome. Yeah that's extreme but I'm not down with that guy.

Don't get me wrong, he can recruit. But the ACC hides a lot of bad coaching decisions he makes.

He would do well at Auburn. No guarantee he even would want to follow Sabans footsteps.

If he left in a few years then so what? Hopefully we are in a better spot. Kiffin would be longer term hopefully.

Either way we shouldnt make a hire based on when someone may leave
