Jones… I’m not cheerleading for Freeze… I’m not going to get angry if he is hired either. Just stating the risk reward here

I, personally, don't care about anything off field Freeze has done. Winning would make people forget alot too.

Freeze beating Arkansas this weekend will make many more people forget about his off the field behavior.

Edit: Freeze is not my preferred candidate, but I would not be disappointed by the hire.

It won't make me forget that if we hire him we missed on our top coaching prospects.

Said there are talking between Lanning’s reps and Auburn

My bet is Lanning's reps reached out. Easy opening to create some smoke and get your contract renegotiated.

I'm amazed at the type of people you guys give a pass too. "He's a complete bag of shite but that doesn't Change the fact he can coach". Hell I guess in your eyes he can bring Jerry Sandusky too.

Who would have figured people are passionate during a coaching search?

Nah if he was Hugh he would have used his real name and would have dropped her personal email for people with complaints to reach out directly to him.

I did not really keep up with Freeze. But, after looking over this thread, the thing that disturbed me most was him contacting the young woman who claimed she was a victim of sexual assault at Liberty.

Not only is it creepy, it seems to show me that he still has not learned his lessons. Some keep saying that winning cures everything, but that sounds like a terrible message to send young people.

Lanning's reps definitely have reason to involve him in this search, but I can guarantee you that Auburn would be reaching out to him regardless. Had he not left for Oregon, he would have been a top-tier candidate for our job right now even if he was still the DC at Georgia. He is absolutely someone who is highly regarded at Auburn and within the SEC.

The standing at Oregon is actually a bit unsettling. They haven't been able to secure a landing spot yet and the PAC12 is going to implode once USC and UCLA bolt.

There is massive long-term incentive right now for coaches to run to the SEC before all of this restructuring hits. All of the money is being funneled into these 2-3 super conferences with the SEC being top dawg.

Probably because the president of liberty was doing the exact same thing with his wife, the pool boy and whoever else.
