Isnt that a big reason to not want a coach? If half the fan base doesnt support him for whatever reasons it should probably be a concern for the people hiring the new coach.

I think the very same media that talks up Freeze at AU, will be the media that throws shade at the questionable ethics of Freeze and Auburn. As soon as AL.com drops some crap journo-hit piece, the shadow grows nationally.
Ethics and issues aside, I just think he's an overrated coach and his stupid face makes my skin crawl.

It very well could be a situation where he is hired and immediately fired due to backlash and dirt uncovered after the fact. We need to avoid this at all costs.

I'm amazed at the type of people you guys give a pass too. "He's a complete bag of shite but that doesn't Change the fact he can coach". Hell I guess in your eyes he can bring Jerry Sandusky too. Don’t act like any of these coaches are choir boys… from laying down on the job after executing high pay contracts at the least to paying off relatives, house sitting gigs and covering up domestic violence incidents on campus they are all dishonest in their own way…. It’s time to embrace the black hat and stop with the lily white do it different bs Bc it doesn’t work. This is a dirty business, play on the level or don’t play at all… don’t waste our time and resources .. fyi, one of the worst mistakes AU has made was nuking the journalism school. Think it may be high time to reinstitute that program to plant more pro-Auburn sentiment in the media to curtail the al.com / not good enough for toilet tissue propaganda machine.

Freeze is a good fallback option for Auburn. Again, like Grimes, if he's hired it means we wiffed on the top candidates.
