You are near Robinson preserve, correct?
Correct. just down the street from it and the DeSoto National Monument. & the botanical gardens which is right by Robinson's on 17th.
For those looking at streets/road names in this neck of FL be advised, whomever came up with them were not creative. We have a ton of Numbered streets that turn into Ct, Ave, St, Way. It can get confusing as it is mostly numbers...then they add N, NE, NW etc on these roads...

Well that doesn’t sound very good at all.

I don't know Florida laws, but assuming they we're registered it sounds like all they did was attempt to defend themselves.

Maybe, and the #1 rule for going to a gunfight is BRING A GUN. However, the most important rule is DON'T GO!
As was pointed out earlier, nothing good happens after midnight, 3:30 AM, etc.. And yes, I was young once, but an aspiring elite level athlete MUST hold himself/herself to the higher standard that everyone else should.

My wife's biggest complaints about driving down here. You can drive down Highway 70 and cross 15th St. three times. Ha ha.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that we don't know all the information yet. Something else created this problem

The more information I read about, the more confused I am. It seems that there were multiple shootings and multiple shooters at different times.

Who knows and we may never know. The dude could have just been straight out thug and shot them when they approached or they could showed iron first and he was defending himself. There is just no way to know
It's a bad situation all the way around and more than likely could have been avoided.

While I completely agree, not being out at 3:30 am with a gun isn't a very high standard. In my life, my friends and I have done that zero times.

And doctors won’t let you hope for days to “come back to life”.
I’m expecting the worst here, but hoping for the best. I think it’s obvious he had a bad setback.

Seems like it would be easier than say, maintaining a "C" average.

I’m not a doctor but have seen a lot of death brother. I come from a massive sized family. Mother was 1 of 14 kids, Dad was 1 of 7, I myself am 1 of 7 and when I was 15 my parents adopted a 14 year old girl making me 1 of 8.
I’ve been in a lot of situations where life support is removed. So believe it or not my dumbass knows doctors don’t just leave you on life support because the family wants to hold on to a brain dead patient.
I have zero insight into Brian’s situation I’m hoping for the best. That’s why I keep telling people to stop speculating unless someone from the coaching staff or the family makes a comment.

seen a lot of death
In the case of my friend, his family had the choice of when to pull the plug to see if his body would respond. It didn’t, thus he died. They chose that route after 7 days. It wasn’t an immediate thing that the doctor chose to do.
In cases where the victim/patient is an organ donor, said person will remain on life support to keep organs available for use.
In BB’s case, I wonder what caused a setback. There was talk of him moving his hands while in the hospital.

3 young men out at 3:30am and each of them had a gun...seems like a problem waiting to happen. What a time to be alive.

Corch you have to get over this no speculation schtick. We are the rant. You're basically asking Tim Hudson to lose his sinker. Aint happening.
Everyone has been respectful.
As for the brothers firing back. That just confirms those kids shouldnt have been there.

Some nice neighborhoods over there. Sure has changed from when I grew up in the 60s and 70s.
Geraldson's farm, Orbans Nursery, some massive lots on the north end of Palma Sola Bay. Knew at least one family that live there.
Wife and I always walk the preserve when visiting remaining family.
I grew up near Bradenton Manor/Kiwanis Park before moving to the south end of Palma Sola Blvd around 1980.
Used to ride my bike all over town from Cortez to Riverview Blvd.
Sigh....

I can only imagine how much the area has changed since you grew up there. Hell, I have been visiting for 20 years and it’s changed like crazy.
