3 Days Ago:

Auburn HC Bryan Harsin asked by
@jzenor
if QB Zach Calzada is 100% in terms of health right now
Harsin: "You know something I don't?"
JZ: "No."
JH: "He's competed like everybody else. Those guys, every single week get those opportunities. And we try to play the best players."

Hoke makes it sound like he could have played just opted for the surgery. He’s healthy enough

Can’t blame the kid. Wouldn’t want to waste a season either playing for this shitshow of a coaching staff.

I’m sure he transfers next year with the medical waiver

He also said Monday that TJ was perfectly healthy and ready to go.
I mean I understand you don't want to show your cards to the next opponent, but this wasn't that. He either didn't know their status (inexcusable) or he was lying for no real reason (which is just weird).

Was lying about TJ for sure. Everyone on campus had saw him in a sling

All he said was that TJ was at practice.

He was warming up on the sidelines against Penn St. It sounds like he wants to play and could/would play through this injury. It sounds like he realizes the coaches aren't going to give him a shot and they will be fired at some point... By electing to take the surgery (I assume its relatively minor since he could have played) he gets to take a medical redshirt. I predict he will also go into the portal in the next couple of weeks.

Nah he will stick around to get the top tier medical treatment. But after that he’s out.

Can't we just put Harsin out of his misery?

So he was playing homerun Derby with a tennis racket with his non dominate hand? If I played with my left hand it would b so I can laugh at my own uncoordinated arse.

Isn't the non throwing shoulder the one he hurt last year?

Wants the medical redshirt I’d guess. I don’t blame him. Take whatever eligibility they’ll give you
Also guessing Harsin isn’t impressed with Calzada’s injury
This is off-season stuff that’s unfolding before week 4
