Why not? If it’s for a bowl game….

It’s earned,a reward, right?

Is this for real?

Music City is on Dec 30th (Saturday) in Nashville. We’d be incredibly lucky to get that game given our 6 win season.

Personally, of all those destinations, Nashville is the only one I'd consider attending.

And of those opponents, it's GT by a mile.

Duke or GT is the most entertaining matchup from a fans’ perspective IMO

Losing to another subpar team.

Ending up 6-7. (7-6 isn’t exactly Toomers worthy either)

Heard the claims that extra practice helps soooo much & carries over to spring, fall camps. I’m not convinced.

Losing should hurt. It’s not fun. Don’t hand out participation trophies just for showing up.

Who I would like as well. I've witnessed us play Wisconsin in person too many times. Just bored of playing them.

I’m sure the players are going to be so over the moon by getting into the Duke’s Mayo bowl that they’ll completely forget the loss to Bama/UGA/NMSU

Get over yourself. Pouting and taking your ball home is such a great lesson for everybody.

Probably, but in the era of NIL and the portal, probably not as much.

personally I would be happy with either one of these - would love to take my AU Student to a bowl game over the Christmas break - plus both desinations are an easy drive from Baton Rouge....

Possibly, but I rather we make a bowl game than not.

At first, I thought this was sarcasm, but then you kept on posting.

And that kind of makes my point.

They will be thrilled about going to a street vendor level bowl instead of taking the time in the off-season to think about what could have been.

It’s funny how everybody complains about there being an excessive amount of bowls, but when it comes to Auburn getting into one, “heck yes!”.

I will never get it.

I have never complained about the number of bowls, and I will always be glad when our team gets one.

I am sure this team will look totally different next season with the new class and transfers.

It's amusing you think the players don't or aren't thinking about that Iron Bowl loss and what could have been. LOL

Clearly. Would be a pretty absurd thing for a coach to decline a bowl invite when that has been the stated goal for this team from day 1. Get to a bowl, any bowl. Hugh had no illusions about this team this year. Yea it sucks the way the season ended. Your solution is definitely not the way to handle it though.

I have no doubt that giving them a distraction like another bowl game helps their short term psyche. I’m just not sure that’s what’s best in the long run.

Good thing for everybody here is that there will be plenty of tickets.

It is dripping in sarcasm you dolt.

They’re not thrilled to go to whatever bowl we end up getting.

Will you see videos of them having fun? Yeah because you don’t just sit there and sulk and be miserable for the next however many months. You get over it. You move on. And you let the pain fuel you to work harder.

But I guess you’d rather them sit at home and pout.

I don’t understand why people would complain about more football.

Hey, I get it. It’s another check for the athletic department. Every bit helps. Go get that cash.

I’m just not buying that there will be any tangible carryover with the way current day is. Portal, NIL deals , etc.
