Stub hub resale price suggestion is about 1/4 of what I paid. Anyone have experience with that?

It will be the bellwether game for 2026, so even 2 months ago a lot of the seats were sold out.

“Can the purchaser actually sit in the seats?”

Ticket markets are all over the place.

If Auburn or Florida stumble out of the gate, prices will likely drop.

If both are undefeated, prices will rise.

There is an expiry for all events.
Those who are patient with time decay often get very good deals. For the best pricing, one has to be willing to miss the event IF they can’t get a good price.

Sell early, buy late is probably the key.

Ive told this story regarding tickets but its such a nice Auburn story.

I went back to Mandeville a year or so after Katrina and my former neighbor, who is from Puerto Rico and knew nothing about football has on an Auburn tshirt. I said since when are you a fan, he said since Katrina.

Packed our stuff, everyone heading north I told the wife and kids we are heading east and then north, still the first place we could find was Auburn.
Got to know all the folks in the hotel, couldnt go back cause of lack of gas at the stations on the way.

Then there is a knock at the door and its the manager. He said Felix Saturday is a home football game and this hotel has been sold out for months. So I got on the phone to call people who had reserved a room to explain your situation and asked them if they would give up their room for you. Only took me one call, he and his family sent you this fed ex envelope.

Felix said I opened the envelope and a note said "Hope everything works out back home, you have our room, you might as well enjoy the game.....War Eagle and enclosed were four tickets to the game.

War Eagle indeed.

Stub Hug charges $400 to $500 for tickets for the Florida game, but suggest selling them at $155. They add a lot to their fee!

Maybe he can sell an options contract for the tickets.

Ticket markets share something’s in common with options market.

Most options expire worthless.

In modern college football, individual regular season games are mostly worthless.

I used to have season tickets. After they moved my seats to the sunny side, I just used stub hub or Ticketmaster. I was amazed how cheap I could get most tickets IF I was willing to not have a ticket in hand until 24 hours before the game.

I realize people have different levels of complexity to consider in purchasing tickets. Great seats will cost more. Traveling a great distance without a ticket seems like folly. The game may be worth more for reasons beyond a score for an individual fan/alumnus.
