Pettiford, Magwood, Bashir, Freeman, Hall are all 5 rotation guys who all have zero issues pulling the trigger..more than comfortable being guys who shoot 18 shots in a game.

Pettiford & Hall are options 1 & 2. They're proven.

Magwood is a TF who will play the same role Tahaad played last season if he's consistent like Tahaad was.

Bashir is a JUCO guy and Freeman is a D3 guy. They'll have to prove it on this stage first.

I don't get the Florida love. They'll be good but they lost their best players and entire backcourt rotation. They have size and they all run the floor but this is a guards game. Fland is a nice piece and he has potential but he's a big drop off from Clayton Jr. I see them at best 3rd and wouldn't be surprised if they finished outside the top 4. Kentucky and Arkansas are my favorites with us, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama as the next group

I’m kinda with you on UF… Clayton bailed them out so much last yr… they’re a top 20 team, but I’m not sold on top 8.

Reality is it’s wiiiiide open next season… any one of 20ish teams could win it all.

Golden is a great coach and they added 2 guards with real NBA potential. I agree, they aren’t Clayton, but their roster looks as good as anyone else’s on paper. And just with their whole front court returning plus the mediocre foreign guard returning they have as much experience as basically any other team as well

Florida's front court is really deep and they literally add a guy just as tall as Goliath to play mop up minutes. They did lose Clayton, but Boogie Fland is a solid replacement. We will have to see how everything looks once the season starts.

It's not just Clayton though. Martin, Richards and Aberdeen are about 35 pts/g in addition to what they lost in Clayton. That's a lot of production, leadership and defense to replace.

Golden is prob no different than Kevin Ollie. Outside of Clayton going off they would have lost 3 or 4 games in the tournament

College basketball recruiting priorities:

What is the order of importance?

1. HS studs who can’t miss?
2. Elite JUCO guys
3. Mid major guys who have played great in their league?
4. International players including pros?

This is so different from even 10 years ago.

I think any given year/roster changes the priority

Yes but look at the college landscape… they return more of the things you said they lost than most other teams. And bring in some serious studs

I believe so. Could see us adding another quasi-walk on like Addarin Scott or something but I think Bruce likes the rotation and we know he doesn’t like to use all the schollies

I was half joking but they definitely were pushed to the brink multiple times by less talented teams and bailed out simply by Clayton going god mode

Clayton is an absolute stud but UF has the best roster in the conference. Golden won at San Francisco. He’s a great young coach. Hopefully the NBA snatches him up soon or he will win many titles at UF

You think rotation might influence not filling out completely?

It's always been hard to keep everyone happy and that was before the NIL.
