Having a first round draft pick, and a guy going to the lord?

Seems like AU is developing great folks. Don’t know why that’s a gut punch

I’d hold off on making any decisions from a scrimmage. I think Tristen Dass dominated one of those last year or the year before.

As well Broome was unstoppable last year in the later scrimmages.

Personally I still think Pettiford returns

Because everyone here was expecting/hoping to have them back and we will miss them.

dudes too short to get drafted. Better to stick to college ball

I think he’s gone. Definitely a top 25 player in this draft

You can't help yourself can you?

See me post have to try a gotcha.

So we will see what happens. I think he pulls out of the draft. His draft status is actually falling instead of rising. He was considered Late first round now he's considered lower end of the top part of the second round. I doubt Pettiford rolls the dice on a second round contract.

He looked like the best player on the court during the scrimmage. Plus the spacing in the NBA is only going to benefit Petty's game. Hope he comes back but not counting on it

He’s gamer and measuring over 6’0” without shoes his passing a huge mental roadblock for NBA GM’s.

What sort of max NIL can we give him?

2024 first round paid about 2-3 million between pick 20 and 30.

I’m not a GM and I’m a huge Pettiford fan, but even 6’0” is on the small side when switching 1-4.

He’s talented. He’s an alpha.

The question comes down to is a year at 2.5 million NIL in both his and Auburn basketball’s best interest?

I’d love to see him stay, but if he’s a top 15 pick, he probably has to go.

Link to rookie 2024 salaries.

Based on his quotes it's more about just getting a guaranteed opportunity/contract in the league, which would mean he is looking for a first round guarantee from a team. If he doesn't get it he will come back.

I think our NIL offer is likely competitive or better than those $$$ amounts in the 20-30 range.

There is no getting around that he will struggle defensively in the league and will be attacked in switches. The calculus for the NBA GM is does he make up for it on the other end? And even on the defensive end can he make some plays and be pesky? Hold his own in non switching situations?

I think it was on a draft projection. Defense is the huge question and also size. The analyst said Pettiford would be the smallest player in the league at 6’ 170

Don't like that highlight reel one bit

Congrats to Tahaad though. Hate to see him go but can't blame him if the NBA comes calling

Johni is getting drug on social media for his lack of vertical. Anybody who has ever watched him knew he wasn't exactly explosive but 24" was a little surprising

They can drag him all they want but they're only showing how little they know or watched basketball.

Broome won national player of the year by one publication without a vertical. What did those anons do?

His vertical more than likely used to be a lot better. There are legitimate workout programs that put high emphasis on jumping and explosion that he has probably passed on because of injuries.

I injured my shoulder in sports and when I tried to show my girls I could still touch the rim, so of all things to get hurt from jumping I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder.
