You’re right. Not sure how I forgot him as I think he has truly high end potential.

Adding him to the mix you’d have 4 guys that are good starter quality. Main additional needs are CG and starting 5 man, as well as needing depth/versatility at both the 4 and 5.

I think that’s the nucleus of another top 10-ish roster as long as we can close well.

Guards are harder to see how they translate moving up to a higher level conference. I think with 5’s it is a lot easier to project. Kessler and Broome were both huge gets at the time and met/exceeded their potential

Bruce makes his bones on small school guys...

This is definitely worth keeping in mind. Bruce has stated he likes guys who come from smaller schools and have something to prove. Seems like the only real exceptions of guys he was hard after from big time schools are Kessler and Bidunga, both guys he recruited heavily out of HS. Probably missing others, but those are the exception.

Petti just declared for the draft, but is keeping his name for NCAA eligibility.

Testing the waters I suppose, hope his NIL brings him back next year and he can “Claytonize” teams

Think Ian Jackson from UNC is in play? Would be a good CG addition. My guess is we don’t have a shot though.

If Bruce finds an elite 4 or 5 that can score in the paint I’m sure he will go after him, but I agree. I could definitely see us looking more like the previous FF team with the talent we will have 1-3.

After seeing our questionable rebounding even with two legit bigs I shudder to think what it would look like if we can't find at least one stud big man.

Yaxel decommitted from Michigan the same day we all are finding out the NIL funds are opening up a bit???

Edit: I just heard a rumor of this. No real news but he took all of the Michigan stuff off of his profile. Could just be thinking harder about the draft

We still will get some bigs, just not sure they’ll be ones you run the offense through like Broome.

If Pett and CBM both return, plus Bashir and Hall and Magwood, there won’t be too many touches to go around lol

Young, high-ceiling big. Tore his ACL so that’s a factor. I think he would do well under this staff’s development.

Probably not the best sign that he’s so torn before he’s even actually gone through any of the evaluation process.

You think Hall can play the 4 for us? Wondered after the last couple of years if your staff has become enamored with having real size at the 4. Hall is smaller than Jaylin but has played the 4 and even some small ball 5
