Liability might be a strong word. You also won’t win shite if you can’t knock down open threes.

This is twice for end of game moments for Green that we came away with virtually nothing… Arky and today. If you count the questionable no call at Georgia….

Get the ball out of Green’s hands at the end of games. We have a lotto pick that can shoot over anyone/any college defense. Get him the damn ball.

Doesn't help when you are jacking them up from the logo early in the shot clock either.
That is a bad habit that WG needs to broken from.

Slow down. Wendell was playing like one of the best point guards in the country until the past couple weeks. He will find his confidence again.

I seriously hope the Good Lord reads your post!

Green is the epitome of "hero player". Slow dribbles with the clock ticking, waiting for his shot. Seen it too many times this season, and twice today, to think otherwise. Bruce needs to introduce him to some humility.

People used to say the same about Jared Harper all the time too. Playing pg takes a lot of learning how to create the best chances in key moments. I find it weird when people are always geared up and ready to attack their character. Wendell was ready to throw a pass on that last possession btw, it was just well defended and something was clunky with Flanigan spacing

Down by 1,.......at the half. Now do the same assessment.

Halftime is a little different. With the shot clock dead, it’s any coaches preference to get the last shot of the half. Ask any coach, it’s a pet peeve to see your player launch a shot with 6 seconds left and suddenly the other team gets the rebound and goes down and scores. Now that was also a terrible possession but we’ve gotten good looks there plenty of other times from Green. To call it “selfish” is just ignorant

Go watch the last 30 seconds of the 1st half. Watch Green slow dribble up the court, eating clock with no semblance of setting up a play. Everybody, and their grandma, knew what was going on in his head. Remind me again, how much did we lose by today?

That kind of shite costs you games.

I didn’t have to go back far. Watch the end of the half of 2 of the last 3 games prior to today and get back to me. Thanks!

So, you agree that the posession at the half and the end of the game, was all on our PG's shoulder's and he totally screwed the pooch?

Down by one, and seconds ticking down, I'd rather see Flannigan at point... At least he's not playing "hero ball".

Is it hero ball if it’s literally what the coach wants? And if he’s gotten key assists in these situations before? Wendell wants to win, man. Sorry you don’t see that.

There is some truth to our frontcourt being out of position when Kessler sets a high pick and Jabari is also outside looking for a shot. We have no one inside to rebound a missed shot. I'm not sure how many offensive rebounds we got against UF or Ark, but I don't recall many. Our best offensive rebounder is usually Cambridge when he is on the court. He needs to be on the court more.

I’m not going to be too hard on Wen when Flanagan brought a third defender into that final play unnecessarily. I have no idea what he was doing.

Why do you want Jabari clogging the paint when we’re running a pick and roll with Kessler?

Can’t fix the stupid in this thread. Imputing motives into a 20 year old wanting to be a hero because you don’t understand basketball... CBP gave Green the keys

Heck no. Great instead of Greene controlling the last shot u let Flan?

All that’s means is instead of not getting a shot off we a charging call on Flan or he simply dribbles to the other team.

No the answer is practicing WG to make shot decisions sooner.

Green is not the guy you want with the ball in his hands at the end of the game. Give me a KD drive and layup or kick out to anyone on the perimeter

I think Green was attempting to follow Bruce's directive, but that's twice now he's gotten jammed up on the final shot and wasted the bulk of the time through hesitation.

KD is out of control and not reliable, but probably a better option based on what we've seen.
