He was lined up 6 yards back for the snap. Do you expect him to not drop back at all? Also he stepped up and was sacked at the same yard line he received the snap. But continue blaming this shitshow all on one player

But rolling out this QB is on the coaches. Not having another option at QB is on the coaches. The terrible footwork is on the coaches. Knowing any signs of pressure and him bailing the pocket is on the coaches.

Nix is just not comfortable in the pocket. He’s done a nice job with the read options and designed runs. I wonder if we’ll do more of that. I just don’t think he’s built to be a pocket passer. He is certainly not progressing.

I agree with Corch here. Bo’s TO’s are killing us, decision making not so much.
The 2 point play didn’t work but I like the aggression. Would have liked more aggression to end the half.

Bo wasted way too much time scrambling before he ran out of bounds. We should have had at least one more play. Rookie mistake.
Why aren’t we providing outlets to Bo? It would help keep him from running all over. The running backs are almost always staying in to block. Tank hasn’t caught a ball which I think is a problem.

Pressure not on the coaches but not correcting the constant bailing with a clean pocket is. Bo makes plays out of the pocket sometimes and today is really the first game in a long time just careless with the football but he’s still inaccurate on the run. Unless the guy is wide open don’t throw it just get what you can and punt

bullshite. The player, whoever it is, is responsible for their play on the field. The coaches didn't tell Bo to throw it sidearm with a DB draped all over the receiver. Throw the damn ball out of bounds.

LOL. Some of you are more football stupid than Nix. The game plan has been fine. The defense was playing well. Our Qb handed them two scores by playing bad.
I don't think the game plan has been terrible but it hasn't been great. Bo with 27 passes? Tank with only 7 runs?

I disagree. It’s when he scrambles (which is too often) that bad things usually happen. When he’s able to stand in and step into the throw he’s been solid.
Dude’s trying to do way too much and playing hero ball and it’s costing us right now.

If the QB refuses to make good decisions with the ball, it is the coaches fault for sticking with him.

What about last week that almost cost the arkansas game?

who are you going to put in? Very few colleges have two quality QB's on their roster.

Nix needs to be held to 20 passes a game. Similar to Brandon Cox in 2006.
Give Tank and DJ the rock.

With Nix? No. He is 20 years old and in his second season. We have enough data points to see he isn't a good QB.

I guess I just don’t see the situational advantage for a two point play up 9-0 on road.
I also think most coaches would cap a timeout after converting third down in middle of field with 19 seconds left.
The next snap was at 12 seconds. Even with the rollout, that would get back precious time.

Freaking this. We should be shooting for 150 passing yards and 200+ rushing yards a game. Gotta stop putting the game on Bo’s shoulders.

Except for his firt year, Gus has lost at least one game a year chasing points unnecessarily in the first half. It boggles the mind how he continues to do that.
